In 24 hectares (55 acres) of beautiful Sri Lankan jungle and rice paddies. 20 superb villas with bags of style, comfort and technology. Villa equipped with an outdoor Jacuzzi which, for the cooler, wetter seasons really needs to be (solar) heated as it was too cold to be usable. (NB not secluded enough for skinny dipping!) Delightful staff... all of... More

We spent the first week of our honeymoon here and it was wonderful. Truly a beautiful place. They welcome you warmly and, once you've lit the candle and rung the bell for luck, take you straight to you cabin. No check-in needed. The place is epic. 20 cabins spaced out on 50 acres. Each cabin is huge, wonderful bathroom, great... More

This resort has to be experienced to be believed. No where could be more perfect.Do stay a reasonable time to enjoy the resort and the surrounding attractions .Enjoy the villas and the bikes and the pool. The food is superb and the staff try incredibly hard to please. We were so appreciative but there were some dreadful guests from England who caused consternation... First stop of our honey moon, the villa is amazing with private jacuzzi lounge and bedroom. Great service and free room service so even if the main building is away you dont need to move or alternatively you have free bike to ride. There is also a nice spa to try

This is truly an amazing place to stay. A tranquil, elegant setting combined with spectacular accommodation and professional service says it all. The bungalows in the forrest setting (we stayed in number 10) were beautifully appointed - although we needed some lessons on all of the 'gadgets' within this premier Eco lodge. It was pleasing to see the environmentally friendly... More

The trip to Anuradhapura was perfect also because of this hotel! A hidden gem, one of the best small luxury hotels in the world. The hotel itself is a must see in your holyday to Sri Lanka. The only regret is that we stayed only one night, our guide told us also that usualy the turist stay at this hotel... More

The best welcome possibly at a hotel with traditional oil lamp lighting and herbal drinks ! Located in a calm, quite, forested area close to Anuradhapura - the ancient city really nice for dry zone birding in Sri Lanka. Chalets provide you privacy at best even at the plunge pool to give you a great time ! Go on a... More

Calm,Peaceful environment. Friendly staff and superb service. We had our own plunge pool and it was great. In the morning, while cycling, we saw all these animals lazing around and it was incredible. The food is tasteful and elegant. We highly recommend this hotel for demanding travelers looking for a exclusive hotel while visiting Anuradhapura area.

Thank you to the staff at Ulagalla for a fantastic stay . A great place to stay. The bungalows were superb, spacious, light and airy with our own plunge pool. The bird life including wild peacocks was incredible, let alone the hoards of monkeys .We were there in the dry season and the environs were wonderful but I can imagine... More
