We popped in to the woolpack for a quick lunch on a Saturday with friends after a wall with the dogs locally. The place was very very busy and non the less we were founds a table. The choice if sandwiches was lovley. The kids and i had fish finger sandwiches and others BLT or steak. The fish in batter,... More

This pub is fairly local to us we chose it as a place to meet friends who were visiting from further afield as we had been here before and enjoyed the food & atmosphere. It was a busy Saturday lunch, we received good service from polite staff and the meals came out promptly. The food was as delicious as we... More

Stayed at the Woolpack in between Xmas and new year on the Escape to Candover Valley package and paid £50 extra to upgrade to the Snipe room. The room was very nice, though cold when we arrived. They have electric heaters in the cupboard but I had to go back to the bar to ask for the heating to be... More

Dear Robbie, Thank you for your feedback; your comments have been passed on to the rest of the staff and we have made an effort to rectify a number of the faults that you had found. I would first like to address the issue of the accommodation heating. I apologise that there were issues with the heating in the rooms... More

Just an hour's drive from London and you're in rolling Hampshire countryside at this lovely gastropub with rooms. The emphasis is on the food. The bar area for drinkers only is small with a pool table oddly taking up half its area. The rest is laid up for meals. The room we had was small but cosy and exquisitely decorated in... More

We did not stay at this pub, nor did we eat ! We were just passing thought it looked our sort of place, but how wrong were we ! It was obvious from the minute we walked in that as we were not going to have lunch, they were not interested. It must be run by youngsters' who have no... More

Having visited the woolpack on many occasions, the food as been superb. Unfortunately the past few times I've been there it has deteriorated. To start with, unless you are sat next to the fire then it's very cold, the background music would be better suited in a nightclub and the staff are not experienced or old enough to provide a... I would have scored higher but was let down by breakfast. I am not able to eat meat, eggs or dairy so ordered simple beans on toast with tomato. When my breakfast was bought to me (without the toast as I was told I had to make this myself) I had half a tomato and literally about a tablespoon of... More

Booked in for our wedding night, turned up later than planned, to find the pub empty and closed for the night (since found out that they had left a message on a phone (not ours but the person they booked it) with about what to do). When booking they were advised of the the situation, they could have told them... More

So much unfulfilled potential. Our room was attractive and well appointed, although with little natural light as there is no window - only a stable style door with a frosted glass top section - not obvious from the website pictures and probably only a problem if you are claustrophobic. The staff were charming. Wifi did not work in the room.... More
