Stayed here at weekend. Went with wife as a little treat. The location is lovely, looking out onto the water and over to Dunoon. The staff are wonderful. Attentive, polite and could not do enough to help. I would say that it was "tailored personal" service akin to a hotel in a much higher price bracket, but with an additional... More

Stayed here on business and was not disappointed. I had a friendly welcome and quick check-in. Room was clean, tidy and warm with a small wall mounted TV. The only problem was a dulce gusto coffee machine that was very noisy while boiling water. It put coffee bits in the hot water spoiling the taste of tea. The evening meal... More

My boyfriend purchased an overnight stay for my birthday recently (6/3/15). We admit it was a bit of a struggle to find as the signage is a bit hidden, but when we did find it, we were pleasantly suprised by the lovely building and surrounding land and views. The Receptionist on arrival was friendly and inviting. The hotel itself hosts... More

I stayed one night in a Master Room with the four poster bed. Bed might have been a little small if I had brought my husband, bathroom had rolled top bath and separate shower but floor was rather cold so popped a couple of towels down to stand on. Towels could have been fluffier and thicker. I find sadly that... More

I have visited this hotel four or five times in the last 10 years and am always amazed by its charm and friendliness. It has been under the same ownership and they have added a few more rooms (15 now) but it maintains its cosy feel and Scottish feel. The staff are always friendly and helpful, the food is always... We had an very enjoyable one night stay at the Knockderry Country House Hotel on a spontaneous winter break. It's beautifully located for lochside meanderings amongst rolling hills. Just a short ride from familiar territory for us, with lovely walks in the Arrochar Alps by Loch Long and Loch Goyle, a favourite place to eat oysters at the top of... More

We have just returned from a last minute overnight stay at this stunning and beautiful hotel. Saw it on line and fell in love with many of the promised features.... loch views... quality rooms..... dog friendly...... secluded location. We were delighted that our expectations were met. A lovely welcome from all staff we met who were professional and thoughtful. There... More

Returned to Knockderry having experienced an excellent meal previously. This time we stayed over, taking advantage of their winter offer of free room on a Sunday night if you spend at least £95 as a couple in the restaurant (not too difficult to do). Food was exemplary again - beautifully presented and delicious. The house is lovely, and we stayed... More

I stayed at Knockderry for one night with my partner. We (or I should say, I) decided it would be the perfect venue for our wedding in 2016 and wanted to give him a chance to experience the hotel. Needless to say he fell in love with the place just like I had. The whole hotel has an amazing charm... More

We stayed in this hotel over Christmas for one night only and had a really good experience. Very warm welcome from the lady on reception and the owner was extremely friendly and chatty. Lovely building with most original wood work etc. I noted it was a very clean hotel as well. We ate in the restaurant which was very impressive,... More
