By joining up with some people on the bus from the airport we booked a 4 bed room for 250baht each (negotiated). Room was comfortable and clean and the bathroom had hot water. Towels were provided. The only catch was the room only had one working electric socket.

The price for a double room with a fan was a bit below 600 baht. The room was spacious and clean. WiFi was quite good. The owner is one of the nicest people we've met in our trip. He also provided info on the area, the people, even showed us other rooms for next time. But what was really appreciated... More

I am surprised to read some of the reviews here, I even think some of them got the place confused with some other guesthouse because you don't have to use your own padlock and the rooms are absolutely wonderful. After two months in Thailand investing an average of 400 Baht per day on accommodation (low season) Thalang Guesthouse was the... More

We were a little sceptical about staying here after reading about the sneaky owner, but put our own lock on the door. Our room was large and nice, but it was pretty horrible as one could not open any windows and there were no fresh air in the room, so we had to sleep with the frontdoor open (!) all... More

The rooms are very cheap (under 500 bht) for a double with a fan. The room was large with a fan and the staff were friendly. But the room wasn't the cleanest and I would definitely not look to carefully at the sheets or towels. The biggest problem for me was that the hostel was noisy in the morning with... More

Room with AC & shower for 600 bhts/d (feb 2012), breakfast & beverages availables and cheap, very nice people taking care of your accommodation with smile, but remember there's no easy car park (in this street you can't escape from the municipality's street car-parking watching-woman who's showing her skill at any ocurrence :-) and motorbike rental is always the best... My husband and I spent one night here when we realized we had to come back to Phuket from the islands early in order to make our return flight. Candy, the receptionist, had excellent English and we paid a mere 550 baht for a great, big room with air conditioning and a private bath. The room was safe and secure... More

I stayed here for two nights in feb following the recommendation in the rough guide. I booked a room with air con B499 per night and the room was HUGE with ensuite bathroom with hot water and air con. Good towels and soap provided. Unfortunately I think the mattress had bed bugs. I didn't notice them the first night as... More

Perfect guest house in the heart of the lovely Phuket city. Especially if travelling alone as you’re likely to meet many like-minded travellers. The rooms are incredibly cheap and are very clean. The staff were also very friendly. If like me, you wanted to stay away from Patong beach and wanted to visit somewhere with more culture this is definitely... More
