It's cheap. That's all it has going for it. The window in my room was smashed and held together with parcel tape. There is no noise insulation at all so you hear every conversation in the adjoining rooms. Outside my window were three eastern European men who spent three hours drinking, smoking (throwing their fag ends in a toilet bowl... More

Our room was comfy enough and reasonably quiet. For £40 pn it was OK, but no bargain. There were tiles coming off the wall in the bathroom and the decor was utilitarian at best. Our 'welcome' was brusque.. "£80 please", which was a little shocking. Breakfast is a fiver extra. In the end you get what you pay for and... More

Well where to start. Basically this hotel i booked back in febuary 15 over the phone for my friends wedding. When i arrived for the wedding i was told i had no booking and no rooms available. Told there was nothing they could do and i should go try the travelodge. Its only £127 a night he said. Far from... More

Stayed here with no warning - reserved a single room online and drove straight there. Chose it for its cheapness and relative proximity to Leeds university (about 15 mins drive away). Arrived at 10pm (2 hours after reservation) to be told they didn't actually have any single rooms and was put into a large family room with two double beds.... More

So if you are paying not much you expect not much and here it is. Owner is very friendly and will allow you to use his kitchen to make your own snacks, rooms are adequate (en suite) and warm but the place obviously needs some money spending on it. The building is very old in parts and has a history,... More

Booked at last minute and the only thing that was ok was price. I know you get what you pay for but booking through an established website I expected a certain standard. Happy with basic but this was dirty, stained and just awful Starting with no wifi info and only one stained blanket I went in search of another blanket... More

Awful is better than this place deserves. My friend who paid had his credit card cloned from this reception!! Numerous stains on bed clothes, dark damp corridors, very poorly decorated, broken furniture, tv not working, random items in room......could go on but you get the point..DO NOT STAY HERE.....the only thing that is good is the actual building which has... I had a 1 night stay and found the room basic but comfortable. The pillows were thin and the bed base had seen better days but it was comfortable. The bathroom was refurbished and fine. The TV had an annoying problem. It kept muting on most channels and the only way to sort it was turn it off for 5... More
