Montserrat is different. Olveston house is different - most definitely not a hotel, but not a B&B either. Rock and roll history, of course (I think I stayed in the Clapton room), but on a lovely and unique island. The staff will take care of you very, very well and the food is outstanding. Over two weeks, I had everything... More

This is the property I always recommend to clients who are coming on island for business and want some quiet or a couple needing laid back accommodations with the amenities available. They cater to your specific dietary needs and with less than seven rooms you never feel crowded.

To my knowledge, Olveston House is one of the few top class restaurants on island, not a hotel. It is located in a lush park, Very quiet neighbourhood. Excellent meals Very friendly service. Closed on Sundays

Didn't stay at the house this trip but went by for lunch. In the home of Sir George Martin of Air Studios the house has a lot of his memorabilia still in the house including gold records and photos taken by Linda McCartney when Paul was recording there. Our lunch was very tasty and the atmosphere relaxing as we had... More

We cannot say enough positive about Olveston House. When we first arrived, the airline had lost our luggage. Margaret and Sarah loaned us everything we could possibly need, gave us painstaking directions to the nearest beach, and took care of dealing with the airlines for us. Throughout our stay, we were treated like family. Mr. Wilson, the bartender, was amazing... More

Montserrat is a fascinating place, having suffered volcanic devastation since 1995. There is now a volcano observatory that covers the events since 1995 in film and text. Over 60 % of the island is 'excluded' because of volcanic flows. The rest of the island is bustling with activity to continue to recover; luckily, funds from the UK (Montserrat is British)... More

The 'two of us' Amelie and Babe arrived in Montserrat after a 'hard days night' sail, 'we have a sea of time'. We first did a 'magical mystery tour', and having drunk the water from runaway ghaut, 'I'll be back'. After a little bit of 'here there and every where' we discovered Olveston House and 'I love her'. 'Because''when I... More

Excellent, friendly staff. Went to a lot of trouble to make me welcome. Delicious food and happy to accommodate for my allergies, food and feather-free bedding. Really enjoyed my visit, beautiful and tranquil spot.

Olveston House is like nowhere else. We were made to feel so welcome and that we could do whatever made us comfortable. It is the most relaxed place I have ever stayed in. The service was perfect, the food was fantastic and the atmosphere is second to none. It's been a total treat to stay in such a special place.... More

We took all six rooms for a special destination birthday. Had a wonderful time. Staff were super helpful and friendly, accommodating to various needs (like our self-preparing very early breakfasts for small kids). Grounds couldn't be more kid friendly. The little ones spent hours pursuing anoles, iguanas, agoutis in enclosed, safe space. Nice pool. Dreadful tennis court but we understand... More
