A returning guest. Stayed November 2014. Hathai House remains a clean, friendly and welcoming small hotel for the budget traveller. Stayed in the ground floor room (105) that faces the swimming pool. Room is basic, clean and stocked with the basic amenities (soap, shampoo, 2 bottles of water, fridge, kettle, in-room safe). Location wise perfect as its close by food,... More

I stayed at Hathai house for 9 days in July 2014. Originally my plan was to stay 3 days here and 6 days on the beach. After staying here I decided to stay the whole 9 days. The woman at the front desk was always so helpful and friendly. My room was always cleaned nicely. It is also not far... More

This was a second choice as the rooms I would normally book were not available and my Thai friend booked this for us. I never feel the need for an extravagant hotel while in Lamai, a decent bed, a pool for a dip, a working shower and within walking distance to the main drag and the beach. So did the... More

Stayed here with a Tefl course in July 2013. It was very clean and spacious, with a lovely family run atmosphere.Close to the main street area. Lovely pool area. I ate breakfast there most days and it was very tasty. Lamai in general is very sleazy with many pink lights indicating that ladies are willing to take money for sexual... More

This is my first stay at Hathai House. I can thoroughly recommend this fantastic place. It's located on a quiet road in Lamai and is within easy walking distance to restaurants, the main road, night food market, night shopping market, beach and entertainment. The pool was a great extra to have instead of or after the beach. The family that... More

Our stay at Hathai was really pleasant the staff were lovely, the accomodation was beautiful, it was kept clean on a daily basis. The pool is a great added bonus but there was only 4 loungers for 12 rooms which sleep 2+ in each one, if the loungers where all taken there wasn't a lot of room around the pool... More

This is a good clean place to stay, very much like a motel. It has a jug for making coffee and tea but they do not supply you any tea or coffee, I've never seen that before. Good staff and good location. However it is only good at under 1,000 baht, over that I would elsewhere.

We had a lovely week or so at Hathai house, and were very touched by the hospitality and professionalism of the staff - such lovely people, always willing to help, and always with a smile. The room was great and included a fridge, which was very handy to store water and also fresh fruit that we got from the markets.... More

Great location and a very nice, little place to stay. Good beds. Clean room and bathroom. The owners are very nice and helpful. There is a possibility to have breakfast but in 8 minutes walk there is a great breakfast place right on the beach. (Best banana shake and egg sandwich ever!) I highly recommend the Hathai house!
