We booked the apartment with next door loft for 40 days. Everywhere was very clean and charming. There were ceiling fans in the living room and bedroom. With the windows open on breezy days, with the fans on, it was dreamy. When hot, the rooms have air conditioning. The view from the apartment looked at mountains and the ocean, which... More

We spent a week at SMV in February this year, and the highest accolade one can give a property is to return, which we are doing this September, for triple our original length’s stay! My partner and I are well travelled and have stayed in various accommodation styles and categories from reasonably basic to 5 star – but none has... More

now .... I was several times in Samui Mountain Village. The holiday begins with the booking because as of this moment will be supervised by managers and owners Bill well. And at the resort you are welcomed by a most friendly team. It will be taken care of everything and you get many tips on Samui. The resort is located... More

All the beaches in Samui look great on pictures, but very few of those look that awesome in reality. Most 5-star resorts are built where the coast is rocky and so shallow that the beach disappears with the low tide. SMV is located 5 minutes away from 2 of the best coves of the island: Coral Cove and Silver Beach.... More

We stayed at Samui Mountain Village for 5 nights in the middle of a 2 week trip to Thailand. All the other reviews have pretty much said it all. The villas are immaculate and have everything you need. Views are amazing, pictures probably don't do it justice but are still pretty impressive! All villas were occupied but we had the... More

Thanks to Bill and all his staff for another lovely visit. We spent 10 days lounging by the pool, sleeping in with no noise except the birds, watching the ocean from our deck.....fabulous. We cannot say enough about how wonderful this place is, and how very relaxing. Its nice having eggs/bread/butter/jam/yogurt and juice left in your room frig, so you... More

What a place, everything is just perfect, Bill the owner was a real gem of a guy, we decided against car/scooter hire as it was not for us so Bill took us into town every night then came back for us later. The villas are amazing, awesome views, perfect for the big chill...and no kids, heaven! We had the pool... More

My wife and I spent 5 lovely days in December. The lodges are high on the side of a mountain overlooking the Gulf of Thailand. Subsequently it is a very peaceful and a beautiful setting. The rooms are lovely. Our balcony overlooked the sea and also the swimming pool which are in beautiful manicured gardens. Bill and his staff were... More

I have been staying at SMV now off and on for over a year and a half, and it is my first pick when in Koh Samui. The 6 individual Cabins (also 2 apartments) are layed out in a fashion that affords privacy, foliage, and ALL HAVE SPECTACULAR VIEWS! Owner Bill and Staff do a fantastic job keeping the grounds... We stayed for three days in a beautifully appointed villa with the wonderful view, but were wishing we could have stayed longer. Quiet and relaxing describes the total experience in a setting of magnificent gardens, with the great salt-water pool adding to a most positive experience. We know were we'll want to stay if ever we return to Koh Samui.... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Samui Mountain Village is in one of the best locations on Koh Samui. We are on the east coast between the famous resorts of Chaweng and Lamai, just above lovely Coral Cove. Our hillside location provides unbelievable views and gentle breezes. We are just 500 meters from the Ring Road but a world away. Our six individual villas share a large pool.We cater to couples and singles looking for a peaceful retreat, but with easy access to the restaurants, beaches, activities and entertainment nearby. Each spacious studio villa has an unbelievable view of the entire northeast of Koh Samui and our neighboring island Koh Phanang. Equipped kitchens make it easy to just “stay home” without the necessity of going out. 50 meters up the hill there is a restaurant at the Sandalwood Resort. We provide daily maid service, free wireless Internet, kitchens, air-conditioning, satellite TV with international and movie channels and so much more. Take a look at our web site for further photos and information. Please contact us if you have any questions. We look forward to welcoming you at Samui Mountain Village. ... more   less
