My wife and myself have stayed in this hotel for many years, we always book a different room every time and can honestly say we have slept in every one, each room is comfortable, clean and warm, the food is exelent value with regular offers of meal deals, The staff are really helpful and responsive, and the chef is friendly...

The staff at this place are pretty useless. They were bickering behind the bar. One girl was complaining that she wasnt even supposed to be there and as a result appeared to be doing very little. Nobody cleared the table before desert arrived (15mins after we finished eating) then we weren't brought any cutlery and had to return to the...

The pub might look like a typical Brewers Fayre BUT have to say that the food was far better than expected and I could only recommend that people visit it!
Visting family for the weekend, got the room at very good rate, fantastic service from all the staff and the room was lovely and clean and well worth the money.
I got the hotel for £28 per night for two with breakfast was not expecting a lot but have to say we were surprised if not delighted food ead excellent and staff were polite and efficient. It was ideal for our needs and we will be back!

The fish was the only edible meal but even that was not nice. Eventually we did get replacement meals but the alleged 8 oz steak appeared...

Been using this hotel since it was first built & opened more years ago than I care to remember. Changed over the years & although it's still an excellent hotel with good clean rooms, huge beds, free wifi etc, there's a couple of small points that let it down now. The menu is nowhere as good as when I first...
