This place has everything - its far enough from the airport to feel like you're on a long trek into the desert. the long, dusty track to the hotel gives an even greater feel of remoteness and then the final stretch through the Berber village to the hotel gates pitches you into the dream. The leafy courtyards and rooftops are... More

A group of 20 of us went here in May for a 6 day yoga retreat and it was wonderful! Staff were very friendly and attentive. Food was delicious, and the rooms and grounds were stunning. Would defiantly reccomed! It's very secluded and would maybe go back just with my boyfriend for a romantic weekend. Not much to do if... More

Tigmi is located a long taxi ride from anything, but is well worth the journey. Set just outside an authentic Berber village, the Tigmi compound is a maze of beautiful gardens, secret corners and two beautiful swimming pools. I was attending a week long yoga retreat while staying here and was lucky enough to spend the night in two separate... More

We've just returned from a magical 9 night stay at Tigmi. I think the fact that our first day back in the real world has felt surreal, highlights just how different and relaxing a stay at Tigmi is. The setting is magical, with superb views all around with a background hum of both wild and village life, with loads of... More

Hotel is situated quite a distance from marrakech but it is a beautiful and very quiet hotel with delicious french and moroccan food. Rooms are very spacious and include a lounge area but lighting isn't great for reading. Our favourite of the 4 riads we visited in Morocco.

After spending 5 days in Marrakech, we retreated to Tigmi for 3 nights. I hated leaving! Timgi is magical and peaceful, a true retreat. The architecture, special touches, landscape and rooms are gorgeous. Our room was spacious and lovely. The bed with starched white sheets was so comfortable! And the food, the food at Tigmi is wonderful. We are vegan... More

We have stayed at Tigmi many times in the last five years, both to review the hotel in a journalistic capacity, and to run yoga and meditation retreats here. Previous reviews that state the venue is 'boring' are missing the point. The raison d'etre of this hotel is peace and quiet, with a lovely small spa, two swimming pools and... More

Good points: lots of tortoises of varying sizes wandering around the garden and pool areas, two nice pools to laze around (if there are screaming kids in one pool you can move to the other!), great sunset views, very spacious suite (no 5), lots of quiet areas to escape other people. Bad points: food was atrocious (towards the end of... More

A bit of a disappointment for us. It felt more like a generic hotel than anything really special. Sure - the views are gorgeous. But you can't really leave the property unless you go on an excursion. And there isn't much to do at the property -- just an ok pool, and a dining area. There are better places to... More

Tigmi is a very special place. An open fire in the bedroom, a real welcome. Peace and beauty all around. Watching children herd goats while eating breakfast, a walk through fields towards snow capped mountains. Love Marrakech but to be able to experience the countryside and then dip into the city was a perfect combination. I know I'll be back.
