This was our second summer trip to Cottonwoods Campground. We were here in August 2011 when it under the former name. Myself, I had camped here a few times on school camping trips when I was a kid so I was amazed at how things had changed. We enjoyed our stay in 2011 with our first small trailer so that... More

Myself, a few of my close friends and their children all spent September Long Weekend 2012 at the Cottonwoods Family Campground in a beautiful cabin by the lake. We were greeted with friendly smiles and humorous staff upon our arrival. The staff proved to be more than accomodating throughout our entire stay. In fact we even made a few new... More

I stayed here with my family for a month starting at the end of July 2012. I was already familiar with the campground from our two week stay in 2011 when it was called West Beach Village and was the last piece of Kamloops developer Mike Rink's crumbling empire. Rink's dream of a resort on Shuswap lake fell into a... More

My son, daughter and families along with my husband spent a last week at the campground. For what was there, I felt it was very overpriced. Yes, you do get water and power hook up, but the showers were not as clean as they could have been. They had flooding this year, so the lawn is in bad shape. The... More

This campground obviously does not care about your experience! The staff takes no consideration for their guests property! They allow people to hang around the boat slips, with no security after 7:00pm. I have observed many nights during my stay vandalism on the boats.. And still no repercussions!.. The staff will lie and tell you they gave night time security which... More

Spent a week at Cottonwood Family Campground and I have to say that the staff were very unprofessional, there was never any staff around in the evening unless you account for them visiting other campers and drinking, the golf carts were driven by what I am gathering are their children and almost hit myself and my dog. We had friends... More

Worst campgroung ever. This place will make you sign a waiver relieving them from any responsibility of your property. This would'nt be such a big deal but after 7 pm there are no staff onsite, thats when it becomes a free for all. During are stay there were a number of boats that were vandilized including mine. After making numerous complaints... More

Westbeach Rv resort or now known as Cottonwood Family campground is a great place to camp with the family. Its quiet, very clean and they have lots of activities going on at the community hall all the time. We loved our trip last august long weekend that we booked right away for this year. Yes there is mosquitos but it... More

Watch out for mosquitos at Shuswap lake. We are at Westbeach RV park and can hardly jump outside to turn the chicken on the bbq because of the mosquitos. Most places on the lake are not this bad, but West Beach RV Park is in a swamp area and with all of the wet weather the mosquitos have thrived. This... More
