Stayed for one night in family room . Received a warm welcome from Mary and Murdo and offered freshly brewed coffee brought to the room even although the choice of warm drinks in room was extensive , particularly liked the extra touch of a tunnocks teacakes and bottled water . Had a great sleep. The room was large and airy... More

That's what it's like to stay at the Douglashall B&B, a welcome home. We stayed for several days and would have stayed longer! Mairi and Murdo were definitely superior hosts and as other reviews have said, they cater to your needs. We wished to know something of the history of the area and they hooked us up with the local... We booked into the Douglashall B&B after our normal hotel (holiday Inn express) being fully booked, we were so glad it was fully booked as the B&B is so much better and really good value. The 2 owners make the experience even better, they are so welcoming and friendly and nothing is too much trouble, they made us feel welcome... More

What a fantastic find, had a business trip to Edinburgh but had heard of this B&B from a friend so booked on the hoof as it were. My business partner and I had driven direct to Carluke from Southampton to be greeted at the front door by the owner, bidding us to come in out of the cold. Remembering my... More

Myself, my daughter and my friend stayed in here on the way to Edinburgh. Murdo & Mary were really friendly and caring. We arrived and were shown our beautiful room which was full of a large selection of beverages. Tea, herbal teas, coffee, decaf coffee, special coffee sachets, hot chocolate, horlicks, bottled water and tunnocks teacakes. The choice for breakfast... More

I stayed overnight whilst travelling from Yorkshire on my way to the highlands, wanting somewhere near the New Lanark/Falls of Clyde visitor attraction and before Stirling with its castle and Bannockburn battle site. What a wonderful choice I made in picking Douglashall as my overnight stop. Murdo and Mary were so friendly and welcoming - this is not a job... More

Mary & Murdo are friendly, generous, helpful hosts & wonderful cooks! Their porridge is the best you'll ever eat. Rooms are comfortable, attractive & very well equipped for every need. Grounds outside are nicely kept w/flowers & shrubs.

I was looking for a B&B between Glasgow and Edinburgh and also near Falkirk and Sterling. Douglashall looked as if they would fit the bill in the town of Carluke. There were four of us women and we could not have been happier with the accommodations. Mary and Murdo were over the top as far as hosts go! One of... More
