We had a great honeymoon at this resort. The location was great for watching sunsets from our balcony in privacy. The food was decent, but overpriced as expected. There are two grocery stores within walking distance at the shopping center. We would definitely spend another vacation here if we find ourselves in Hawaii again.

Rented a cabana King with ocean front on second floor, a Mountain ocean view and a Ocean view for family members. Very beautiful room. The cabana was beautiful. View of the beach and fish ponds. Service is good but not excellent. Breakfast is okay. Dinner seafood buffet with prime rib was good for the price. Service at the pool was... More

We really liked the location of this hotel, loved getting our food at the market down the road and taking walks along the beach behind the other nearby hotels. We weren't crazy about this hotel but I can't really put my finger on it. There was nothing "wrong" , just didn't love it. Food was ok, but expensive. Not sure... More

I am rating this average--the hotel is in a nice enough spot. They nickel and dime you though. We stayed in cabana rooms which is a great location--close to the beach with easy access- the rooms were clean but tired--mold in the showers needs to be dealt with. This is a $450 a night room--I did get a deal down... More

This was our first trip to the Big Island for our family of 4 (including one high school and one college age sons). Overall, the beautiful, clean and well maintained Waikoloa Marriot is a great choice for a resort in the Big Island that is close to great shopping, close to the Kona airport, central to many other destinations, has... We originally booked this resort for 10 days however we ended up staying for a month we loved it so much! Our room was supposed to have only a partial view of the beach and pool however it had an awesome view of both. The staff is unbelievable treating us like part of their family. We were there during the... More

Nice partial ocean view room. The hotel could use a little renovation. Good location. The room service food wasn't very good this trip, but it was hot when it arrived. The parking can be kind of a hike.

We stayed a couple of nights before our condo was available. First, self parking was included with room rate! Awesome. Room rate was very reasonable for such a great location. The buffet breakfast (with hotel guest discount) at $21 per person was also a great value. Pool area great. Close to beach. Room was very nice with a safe and... More

My wife works at AAA in California, and her travel agent friends all recommended that we stay at this hotel. Glad they told us about it, we've been very happy here. It's our honeymoon and we wanted to spend some relaxing time on the big island before going to Maui next week. This hotel is secluded, so the public can't... More

Hotel in situated on "A-bay" as the locals call it, and is one of the most beautiful beaches on the Big Island. just a short walk south near sunset and you can find turtles resting. Staff is great and very helpful. Parking is a bit tricky. There are far too many valet spots not being used that nobody could park... More
