These Marriott rooms are much like what you find at your average Marriott stateside. Nothing resort-like about them. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Hotel is well located for seeing the island and getting to the airport. There is also a nice spa on site. One area for improvement is the designated smoking areas. I do wish Marriott would... More

The hotel is in a great location and a beautiful beach. The staff was very friendly especially in the coffee bar in the lobby. They remembered my drink every morning. The rooms were quiet and spacious. The ocean front room was worth the extra money. The hotel only has one restaurant and there are many others nearby at two different shopping... More

My pregnant wife (6 mo.) and I stayed at the Marriott for a week in October and had a fantastic time at the resort. The resort has a great beach and pool area and the location is very convenient with stores and restaurants within walking distance. While many of the resorts in this area are comparable we found the customer... More

Don't see a place to add photos - so I'll have to describe the view. I saw the top of the roof and the tips of two palm trees that were in the lobby. The flat roof had an opening for the lobby so the tips of the palm trees poked through. The rest of the view was of other... More

Not a great fan of the resort style accommodation, but shortage of rooms for the Ironman meant we had to choose one. Room was what you would expect from a Marriott, but there was a feeling that everything was an extra cost. This does seem to be the norm with these resort hotels. Breakfast was expensive but reasonable selection. Didn't... More

Pros. Good room, great gardens, good pools and beach area. Cons. Close to shops for a reasonable meal as resort was pricy. Also why do they quote a price in Hawaii ex tax and then add it on later, most of the world rounds up the ticket price. No bottle of water in room, have had this in cold climate... More

Stayed here in August for 5 nights. Lobby and pool areas are nice, rooms were updated but the hallways do need some work. Carpet was old and the walls in need of paint. It didn't help that the lights in the hallway are so bright that you can see all the dirt and worn out areas. Beach area is rocky... More

I was hoping for a "Booking.com" moment when we opened the door to our Marriott room, but was put off by the constant loud air conditioner noise from an adjacent cooling building. We tried it out the first night, but decided our week in paradise would be spoiled by the incessant noise. I had specified a quiet room away from... More

We only stayed for one night. We had an ocean view room on the sixth floor. The room was typical Marriott with a comfortable bed and pillows with a fabulous view. Bathroom was adequate with good towels. Check-in was a breeze since we are platinum members. Check-out was a little challenging with only two people working the desk. There were... More

Stayed here for two nights to watch Kona Ironman. Beautiful hotel. The bed was the most comfy I've slept in. The staff were friendly and helpful. Gardens, grounds, pool area was just beautiful. Right at the edge of the beach too. I would stay here again.
