My hubby and I stayed here for our honeymoon. We planned two weeks in hawaii. We were very happy to have spent our last week in Fairmont in maui, instead of going to maui then to big island. Waikoloa was disappointing from the very beginning. Before arriving, I tried to do something special for my hubby. I called to see... More

We recently stayed 3 nights at the hotel & we loved it. We had spent 2 nights in the small town of volcano, so was good to see a different side of the island. Checking in took quite sometime as there was quite a long line & only 2 people working. The person before me seemed to take forever. Another... More

Stayed here three nights following two excellent nights at a B&B in the south of the island. This totally met our needs. Seafront room with a balcony which was often too hot to sit out on (not complaining!) view was beautiful. Staff were great, helpful, courteous consistently. Pools were great, fish ponds interesting, nice walks along the front to the... More

The Marriott Waikoloa was not really my cup of tea, but it was ok to use as a base, we didn't spend any time at the hotel apart from drinks in the bar on a couple of evenings. The bar had a really odd atmosphere, maybe due to it closing very early! There were a lot of families with young... More

We've never stayed at a "resort" type place before, but we did enjoy our stay here from Oct 16th to 21st. Pros are: I liked the location, on it's own little bay with beach, and I liked the way the resort had integrated the fishpond and natural tide pools into the landscaping, along with the remains of Hawaiian structures. The... More

We spent our last day in Hawaii at the Waikoloa Beach Marriott before an 11 PM flight back to the mainland. We had checked out of our hotel in the Kona area earlier in the day, and wanted to spend some time farther north. For $99, we were able to rent a parlor room until 8PM. Rooms aren't always available,... More

This has been a wonderful experience! Booked the vacation through Costco and everything has been great including the ocean view! Included in the package was a daily breakfast and a $300 room credit! The breakfast is very good! Peter and Chad are great bartenders and Chad has great bar tricks! Will do this again!

Really enjoyed this hotel and would love to come back. Pros: - Very easy to navigate with big car park. - Easy walk to 2 shopping areas - Queens market and Kings market AND if you can't walk a short distant there's even a trolley that will take you there - 3 lovely pools, making it perfect for kids and... We stayed at the Waikoloa Marriott for our Honeymoon. We had an Ocean Front King room on the 5th floor. The view was incredible. The sunsets over the beach and through the palm trees was worth the upgrade. The room itself was nothing special, but when you're in Hawaii, why would you spend that much time in the room anyway?... My husband and I came here for our 10 year anniversary. It was magical. Not sure if we really stayed in a deluxe ocean view room but it was still beautiful. The staff were very friendly, room was clean and in a great location. There are a lot of shops and restaurants within walking distance. The restaurant was just okay,... More
