My boyfriend and I had a great stay here in mid-February. It's close to Waikoloa Village and great restaurants in Waimea. The restaurant food is delicious. The fish ponds are cool and the beach is cozy. The concierge was very helpful. It's less touristy than Kona though, if you have activities in Kona, leave some extra time because of delays... More

The Waikoloa Beach Marriott Resort & Spa is ideally located on the Kohala Coast. Its pool side faces the ocean with a western exposure providing superb views of the Anaeho’omalu Bay with exceptional sunsets. Two ancient fish ponds with serpentine walkways lie between the hotel grounds and the beach. They are filled with crabs, various salt-water animals and provide a... More

The thing I liked most about this property was that they don't mind you getting in the pool any time. I'm a little shy and can't swim very good but the water is so inviting that I got up at 5:00 and took a little dip. At that time there are people doing maintainence so it was not a problem.... More

Hmm. Where to start. This property is unique. If you really HAVE to have an ocean front property and your vacation will be ruined without being able to touch the sand from your room - well you will be disappointed. And you should probably get out of your room a bit more and actually experience the island... We knew this... More

Usually we travel preferring to rent apartments/ houses/villas, but due to the difficulty finding ocean front rentals on the Big Island, we reluctantly booked this resort. It was wonderful all the way around. If you can, pay more for an oceanfront room. You will overlook lovely grounds, pools, beach, boats anchored in the water, and view a fabulous sunset each... Ok, this was the third time on the property. I have to say it is a very enjoyable place. Maybe not super high end like the four seasons or Grand Wailea, but the location is excellent and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Had a ocean front room which provided a spectacular vantage point for whale watching. Breach after... More

We booked ocean view, which Aparently at this resort if you step out on your balcony, tilt and can see the ocean, that's your ocean view. In this hotel "ocean view" means "ocean front" and when I asked to change the room, the hotel management and reception were very unfriendly and unaccomodating. The whole experience left bad taste in my... More

Although wife and I usually go to the Lahaina, Maui area for Island trips, we had stayed in Kona for our 25 wedding anniversary and returned for our 50th. Waikoloa Marriott had been recommended and it did not disappoint. Driving into the beautifully landscaped hotel entrance enviornment is the first clue of a delightful sojourn. Luggage is unloaded and car... More

We stayed here for our Honeymoon August 1992 and returned with our teenagers December 2013. This time we were able to afford a room with a whale watching view. The best news is the weather was so bad across the country, our flights kept getting canceled and we stayed 10 days. The resort offers many things to entertain teenage girls... More

This is a beautiful resort on the beach right outside of Kona. The staff is beyond friendly. The property is immaculate. The food is great...the pools are outstanding and I will stay here every chance I get. The rooms are beautifully appointed and I can't say enough about the place. It is a resort...there are fee's associated with any resort... More
