Having stayed before at the Hilton in Waikoloa, I must say if you are on the fence of staying between the Marriott and Hilton, choose the Marriott! My wife and I felt totally welcome from the moment we stepped on property. The service was excellent, everyone we came in contact was super friendly and the property was gorgeous. If I... More

This hotel is a bit in need of some re-furbishing BUT it is still lovely. I enjoyed 4 nights, very comfortable, clean room with an upgrade of a pool view without my asking. Room is nothing special but very clean and very quiet and bed very comfortable. Check in easy breezy and friendly.....Infinity pool lovely and fitness center great....loved the... More

This is one of best resorts on the Big Island. Located on Waikoloa Beach the view from the room was outstanding. Between the beach and hotel is an ancient Hawaiian fish pond and ruins from a former village. The pools are outstanding along with adjacent eating facilities. The location is approximately twenty miles north of a Kona making a great... More

Stayed here on August 13th right after hurricane Iselle, and just loved it! Beautiful grounds with ancien Hawaiian ponds where fish actually jump in and out at dusk, lovely beach (there aren't many sand beaches in the Big Island as it is rather rocky, but this one is lovely) very nice pools, great location near petroglyphs, great shopping area! Very... More

I just got back today from staying at the Waikoloa Marriott with my husband. I had a very casual and impromptu wedding (planned in 2 weeks, yeah!) on the beach here, had my wedding dinner at the Lava Lava Beach Club next door, and spent the rest lounging with friends. I'm torn, I'm giving this place four stars because it... More

My girlfriend and I booked this hotel after I had recently got back from service in Afghanistan (within 1 week of my return). We were looking for a relaxing getaway and somewhere that would be suitable for couples. We were dealt with at reception by Clinton, who was friendly, professional and provided excellent customer service. The hotel has it's own... More

My friends and I stayed at Marriott Waikola for 6 nights this past August. Our trip was divided in two as we checked out for one night halfway through to stay near Hawaii Volcano National Park (HVNP). I really rarely write bad reviews but prepare yourself.... The grounds of the Marriott are beautiful and it is in a great location;... More

Always enjoy Marriott properties. This one was a nice surprise. The open air spaces were nice. The pool area included two salt water pools in addition to a very comfortable infinity edge and the beach area was amazing. A very comfortable place and reasonably priced. Would be interesting to see what it looked like when it was the Outrigger and/or... More

Beach has rocks in the shallow surf making it difficult to get out to swimming distance or depth . All of the servers and staff made a concerted effort to give quality service. Wonderful central location. Would recommend
