Recently completed another great stay here. Still my favorite resort on the big island. Very laid back and just feels right. Never too crowded. Service is fine but not obtrusive. No pretentiousness. Nice comfortable rooms although the bathrooms feel a bit dated. Pretty good views from the majority of the rooms. Plenty of room to lay out at the pool... More

We stayed 4 nights for a quiet getaway before heading to Honolulu for a couple days. We picked Mauna Lani based on trip advisor reviews and found the reviews to be correct. I feared that we would be there during a conference, but we lucked out and the few days we were there were between conferences, leaving the property very... More

We stayed at the Mauna Lani for five nights for a business conference and were very pleased with the room and the services provided throughout the week. The rooms are not fancy or overly luxurious but they are very clean and neat, the wifi worked flawlessly, we had a balcony to enjoy, a comfortable bed and the service in the... More

My wife and I ended up staying at 3 different resorts and had high expectations for this resort. While nice, it ended up being ranked 2 out of 3. The food was decent and the property itself was very nice. The only thing that I didn't care for was the dark interior of the rooms (just my personal preference).

We spent the first part of our Big Island/Kauai vacation at Mauna Lani. While we thoroughly enjoyed all of our accommodations, Mauna Lani was definitely our favorite spot. The atrium and grounds are gorgeous and the activities are plentiful. Snorkeling gear, cultural activities and bike rentals were all included in the daily resort fee. We fully planned on exploring more... More

Mauna Kea has gone downhill over the years, and the Mauna Lani Bay Hotel has also suffered a bit (I much prefer this property to Mauna Kea, though). There are deferred maintenance items that should be taken care of now, and repairs and upgrades scheduled soon. Most of the staff are outstanding: quite friendly and helpful.

After 4 days on Oahu and a night in Volcano we were so happy to relax for 5 nights at the Mauna Lani. There is something so blissful and relaxing about the hotel and the grounds that really allows you to unwind. We had an ocean view room where we were able to see the ocean, mountains, and turtle pond.... More

We have come to the Mauna Lani for the last six years on a yearly business trip. We go to Maui also, stay in Wailea, and love it too, but this place is "old Hawaii" special - so relaxing you think your bones may melt. The hotel is beautiful in a quiet, non-glitzy way, with a lovely, lush open air... More

Sensational venue....well located, scenic with a SPECTACULAR staff who know how to please guests. Area is VERY beautiful and SCENIC. How wonderful it is to walk the grounds and discover very large sea turtles while walking the beach and the huge selection of fish in the "fish ponds" Strongly suggest the oriental tour of the grounds (free) with the well... This is one of my favorite properties in Hawaii and was glad to be able to stay there last week and be pampered. I don't think it looks old - I think it looks classic Hawaii and the grounds are just gorgeous with lots of ability to be mellow on your own or play with a group if you should... More
