We are on the way to the airport after three perfect nights at the Mauna Lani Hotel. Our room was a single king with a partial ocean view. It was spacious, clean, and updated. The breakfast buffet included healthy and decadent choices. It included American, European, and Asian foods. There were always plenty of beach chairs with awnings to keep... More

We spent only two nights in the Mauna Lani resort but they were very good. People take good care of you there and make your life easy. The rooms are very nice and comfortable with a balcony everybody can enjoy. The resort has a rather large garden with multiple amenities. You can enjoy beaches, fish ponds (everywhere) Tennis, Spa, Golf,... More

We landed in Kona on Monday June 23rd with our two teenage children, 19 and 15. Kona Airport is rought 30 minutes south of the resort, so easy to get to off Highway 19. Mauna Lani is a left off the highway heading north. When you turn left into Mauna Lani, its a long drive/about 1 mile down, but before... More

This hotel is fantastic. Period! I just had a fantastic 5 days here and was very sad to leave. After staying in a treehouse and completely off the grid for a few days I was completely looking forward to a few days of calm and relaxed fun on the beach. The hotel is situated on beautiful stretch of coast. The... More

I've been coming to this hotel for over 20 years. Not yearly, but several times. Not everyone can appreciate the understated charm and mellow vibe. Definitely not a "party" destination or a place to go for entertainment. But for sheer serenity, stunning property and an excellent beach, it's the best property on the BI in my opinion. 4 Seasons, while... More

We are a family of 4 and were lucky enough to stay here for 5 nights in May 2014. It was magnificent. The service was definitely 5 star and so were the facilities. We were greeted with a shell lei and glass of juice each and upgraded to an ocean view standard room. Every afternoon we were offered ‘popsicles’ by... More

One of the best hotel experiences- room was beautiful, open air hotel was stunning, tons of activities including snorkel and swimming beach. Sea turtles feed in lagoons - amazing. Canoe restaurant is great - service was pretty good. Extremely romantic, three weddings while we were there. Will definitely be back. An oasis in the middle of a lava field!

We stayed at this property and had an absolutely wonderful time. The views are spectacular, the pool is wonderful, and the cooked order breakfast is absolutely amazing. Level of service is absolutely exceptional I would never hesitate to return here. It truly is a wonderful experience and management does a wonderful job!

Just make your next trip to the big island a good one and stay at this resort. Everyone is so nice and the staff provides excellent customer service. The room was great! Got upgraded to an ocean view for all 4 nights. Loved that we got water bottles everyday. Some nice perks are the cabanas, free laundry, and shuttle that... More

My daughter and I just got back after spending 4 nights at the Mauna Lani Hotel. The hotel exceeded all my expectations. They have beautiful facilities, including pools, hot tubs, private beach access, lawns and huge, breezy atriums with koi ponds. Their staff was excellent. They do charge a $25 resort fee per day, but that includes some services- like... More
