Despite a family illness the welcome from John & David was excellent. Showing interest in our visit and offering lots of advice on the surrounding area. We only stayed one night to visit a friend's family and attend a football match at Gateshead but it couldn't have been better. Room 2 was very comfortable with en-suite, traditional decor, clean and... More

Stayed here for one night on July 15th. Upon arrival I got a very warm welcome and was shown to my room. Everything in the room was perfect . A comfortabel bed, great shower, tea / coffee and buiscuits, wifi. Breakfast in the morning was superb: Fresh fruit, juices, tea/coffee, yoghurt, croissants, you name it and it was there. David... Comfortable family home with charming helpful and friendly hosts who can't do enough for you. Right in the middle of the lovely village of Wylam with several local pubs or your hosts are happy to drive you to a high class local restaurant I cannot recommend this B&B more highly, it is not luxurious, but charming friendly and accomodating

David and his mom and pop have discovered the key to making one feel pampered. Our expectations were met with good humor and excellent service! Bravo for making us feel special! They made dinner reservations for us and delivered four of us to the next town. They provided us with an excellent breakfast and packed lunch. Best so far on... More

The rooms are a touch dated but they are clean and spacious. The breakfast was lovely and we appreciated getting a lift to and from Heddon on the Wall. We ended up going to the recommended restaurant (Winships) which was nice but a little pricey and we would have preferred to have stayed in Wylam in hindsight. A good first... More

Friendly and accommodating. Beautiful and well maintained rooms . Good beds . Eateries nearby. Even our luggage was transported by our host for us. For breakfast you can choose what you want . Service was excellent.

Hospitality and care of customers taken to a new level. Walking Hadrian's Wall we were advised to stay at Wormald House along the Tyne River, we were not disappointed. David and his parents run a first class operation. We were picked up at our end of walk point on the wall and delivered to Wormald House. The room are spacious,... More

Recently stayed at Wormald House while walking the Hadrian Wall walk. I can honestly sat that David and his parent are the most wonderful hosts anyone could ask for. They truly care for their guests happiness and ensure that every effort is made to accommodate them. The room was spotless and offered a great nice rest after a long day... More

Lovely welcome from John and Angela after a long first days walk on the Hadrian's Wall Path. They then kindly booked our evening meal in a brilliant little restaurant and then provided the transport too and from Ovington. The room was lovely and the breakfast served by David was superb with lots of choice in a great friendly atmosphere.

Victorian property on the High Street in Wylam, 400m from the station and well located for the Hadrian's Wall Path. OK so the room was a little dated, and the facilities just satisfactory. But the people! What a welcome, nothing too much trouble, even fearing by car to and back from a restaurant in the evening, taking one to and... More
