Friendly and accommodating. Beautiful and well maintained rooms . Good beds . Eateries nearby. Even our luggage was transported by our host for us. For breakfast you can choose what you want . Service was excellent.

Hospitality and care of customers taken to a new level. Walking Hadrian's Wall we were advised to stay at Wormald House along the Tyne River, we were not disappointed. David and his parents run a first class operation. We were picked up at our end of walk point on the wall and delivered to Wormald House. The room are spacious,... More

Recently stayed at Wormald House while walking the Hadrian Wall walk. I can honestly sat that David and his parent are the most wonderful hosts anyone could ask for. They truly care for their guests happiness and ensure that every effort is made to accommodate them. The room was spotless and offered a great nice rest after a long day... More

Lovely welcome from John and Angela after a long first days walk on the Hadrian's Wall Path. They then kindly booked our evening meal in a brilliant little restaurant and then provided the transport too and from Ovington. The room was lovely and the breakfast served by David was superb with lots of choice in a great friendly atmosphere.

Victorian property on the High Street in Wylam, 400m from the station and well located for the Hadrian's Wall Path. OK so the room was a little dated, and the facilities just satisfactory. But the people! What a welcome, nothing too much trouble, even fearing by car to and back from a restaurant in the evening, taking one to and... More

Stayed here as part of the Hadrian's Wall walk. It is off of the way but owners will come and pick you up and Heddon-on-the-Wall. Owners are just lovely people and very keen that you enjoy your stay. Older style house but with all amenities and breakfast was fabulous, large servings. We also got a lift back on to the... More

If you're walking the Hadrian's Wall Path, it is well worth going 15 minutes "off piste" to stay at Angela and David's excellent B&B. David even cooks you breakfast at 6:30 so you can make an early start on the next day! Highly recommended.

This excellent B&B was booked by the travel company as we walked Hadrians Wall, couldn't fault it! Nothing was too much for them, including driving us to the next village for dinner (and collecting us) to ensure we had a good meal. Breakfast was great and cooked on request and David the owner the perfect host. Had the best nights... More

We used this great little B&B when up in Northumberland for the disbandment parade at a nearby barracks. The owners son couldn't have been more helpful from the moment we arrived until we left. He welcomed us with a guided tour and a pot of tea in the very smart lounge. The rooms were well decorated and clean. Breakfast was... More

Womald House is like staying at a friend's house. The owners, John, Angela and their son David, are exceptional hosts. Friendly, warm and made me and my friends feel at home. The rooms are very clean, with TV and bath (shower). Our hosts couldn't do enough to make us feel comfortable and at home. This was my first time in... More
