We spent 1 night in the Sunset hut. This island and accommodation suited our laid back Aussie ways perfectly. The food was good, our hut sublime, the snorkelling was fun and the staff very helpful. 2 nights would have been perfect. There isn't much to do, so you wouldn't want to stay there for long. We are in our 50's... More

This is really an overrated resort. Horrible service. Rats are everywhere. On the first night, I stayed at Ecocabin East and there was rat in our room. The next day I moved to Coral Hut and also there was rat in our room. Rats are running around everywhere in the tiny island. After staying two nights, I got home with... More

The island is a 90-minute boat ride from Ancol Marina. The island's low electricity usage, 90 per cent of its power comes from solar panels . The food was delicious. I love the island. All the equipment are free to use as long as available

Once you get through the chaos of Ancol Marina and get on the ferry out to Palau Macan the weekend is easy. It takes about 2 hours to the island and when you arrive it is all very casual. The rooms vary in size and configuration but they are all basic and all right on the water. The rooms are... More

I love the view once i got out from the speed boat, so beautiful. Pulau Macan has everything to be enchanting, a paradise island at the doorstep of Jakarta sand bays and great snorkeling plus the famous indonesian hospitality. However, everything gets spoiled...by money. Their marketing hides behind green and eco development ideas in order to provide less and bill better. For, 7.2 million you can get a floating suite...literally a suspended tent tied... More

This island is suitable for couples getaway.. the huts are nicely and naturally decorated..using items found on the island itself. Nice activities like snorkling..canoeing ..and just looking at stars and glowing plankton at night. Only 90minutes away by boat from Jakarta marina. Worth trying..for weekend getaway!

This June I went to Tiger Island to have sweet escape from Jakarta. We stayed in Coral Hut. This room is amazing, quite, peaceful and we have our own shower and toilet! Food still good like last year. Nothing much change but I still enjoy it. You can have a snorkelling trip at 3pm, or snorkelling in front the room.... More

Struggling with the last minute booking/reservation, but finally managed to get the best hut on the Island for the weekend, the Sunset Hut, a huge hut with best sunset and a full sea view, with the best amenity enough to accommodate six person, just for the two of us. I can tell this island is so much different than its... More
