Stayed one night. Double with en suite, £50 no breakfast. On entering the room it just look like it was bad tast in decor but on inspection it was extremely dirty, grimey, sick stains on carpet. Curtains hanging off, dirty water still in kettle. Two hangers in cupboard. THEN I checked out the bed linen! No protectors on pillows, but... More

We four visited the Tap bar on Sunday, having walked from Hertford. We ordered 12 small plates between us, offered at the price of 4 plates for £10, plus some bread to use with the dips. The young man who served us was very pleasant and efficient and it was only a few minutes after the dishes arrived that we... More

We are regular visitors to Ware, and have several wheelchair users in our groups. The staff could not be more helpful or accommodating, nothing is too much trouble to ensure the whole party are comfortable.Extra milk or water to cool drinks if necessary-no problem. We all appreciate their warm welcome, unfortunately it is not always the case at other establishments. Thank you... More

We decided to have a light lunch at The Tap Bar while we were in the town yesterday; the menu in the window seemed pleasant. We sat ourselves at a small table because the others were occupied. There was nowhere to hang coats; if it had been a wet day, would NOT have wanted to sit on a wet coat.... More

I began comingg to Ware in 2008, and I always stay at the Tap. Located right in the heart of Ware and on the High XT it is an easy walk from the train. Rooms are cozy, the two in back are a bit small, but I am always well looked after. Well worth the price, en suite bathrooms, which... More

We sat in the sun soaked court yard and ate fresh Greek salad... Well, one Greek and one chicken Caesar... It has to be one of the freshest salads I've eaten in a restaurant and the feta was amazing! The service was prompt and friendly - nothing was too much trouble. Would recommend.

First impression on arriving at the Tap Bar was wow! Its very olde worldy and has a lot of history to the place. My husband was very taken with the medieval cellar in the beer garden. The mural on the beer garden wall was fascinating and we spent quite some time soaking it all in before checking in to our... More

Very disappointed, stayed here recently and paid £65 a night, no breakfast, curtains hanging off, window would nt stay open, rooms are in separate building to bar, stairs up smell of wet dog, bathroom needs a complete revamp, no bedside light and t v didn't work, won't be staying there again.

We love to visit Ward, UK. One of our favorite pubs is The Tap. We decided to stay there during our rescent visit. The owner and staff are so nice and helpful; the food is still very good; the location is perfect; and the room was clean, but small. If you plan on spending a lot of time in the... More

Painted with like ancient Rome on entering the beer garden then into the plush clean inviting bar. Plenty of different wines and beers to choose from. Prices were not too extreme for this neck of the woods. I would come here again.
