My husband and I returned to Sukau Rainforest Lodge for another wonderful visit at the end of September, beginning of October, 2012. As I now have a disability, we were assigned one of the rooms with handicapped facilities which has been carefully thought out and beautifully presented. The lodge is set amongst the trees in the jungle with 20 guest... More

In October 2012, my husband, myself and our two children stayed at Sukau Rainforest Lodge for 3 days. The lodge is set in the jungle beside a very large river and we were taken there by a 2 and 1/2 hour boat ride. Upon arrived we were given a cold drink and then greeted by the very friendly and jovial... More

We visited in early October for just two nights after a week in Kapala for diving and then one night at Sepilok to see the Orangutan Sanctuary. After Sukau we went on to Borneo Rainforest Lodge in the Danum valley. We saw more wildlife at Sukau that we did at Sepilok and Danum put together, partly due to good luck... More

Sukau lodge is fantastic, staff friendly & room lovely, didnt need air con the fan was enough. We went with Borneo Ecotours on a 7 day wildlife tour early Oct 2012 however you only get a chance to see animals on 3 days of this tour - only when you are at the lodge therefore dont bother with any other... Dear Jenna131, First off, thank you for visiting us at Sukau Rainforest Lodge. Both Borneo Eco Tours and Sukau Rainforest Lodge work in close partnership, SRL would not be able to operate so well without BET and vice versa. We have heard your comments and have responded by giving better clarity to the tour package that you took by renaming... More

As with Selingan, this trip really isn't about the quality of the hotel. It's about the amazing diversity of the wildlife to be seen. We took two river cruises out from the hotel and saw a herd of pygmy elephants and scores of proboscis monkeys and macaques within a very short distance of the lodge. And, most amazingly - a... More

Great food, great animals, great birdlife and nice accommodation. No aircon but rooms are ventilated and it was lovely to sleep without the drone of aircon. Recommend to walk the boardwalk for your own private views of the jungle. Boat rides were in small groups maximum 4 people. Saw everything we wanted to see including elephants and wild orangatangs and... More

Took the 3D/2N safari package. Saw the resort pix online and was impressed by the rooms and facilities. Didn't think much about it cos pictures can be deceiving. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the resort. 2 1/2 hours by boat along the Kinabatangan River, past villages, palms and mangroves, the occasional crocodile and even a herd of pygmy elephants!... We chose Sukau Rainforest lodge because of the good reviews and we were not disappointed. The trip to the lodge is a 2 hour boat ride and because we saw a herd of pygmee elephants and we watched them for ages, it took about 2 1/2 hours. The boat ride is quite pleasant. After we arrived we only had about... More
