Along Kinabatang this must be the top place to stay!. But after visiting Danum valley earlier on our trip it is impossible to give any other place more than 4! The rooms are barely OK. Clean enough, comfortable bed, but kind of worn down and bordering on ugly. Staff service and friendlyness is very good and they will walk the... More

You will not find better customer care or service than on the Kinabatangan river. Food is nothing to rave about but it is fresh and filling. However the nature that surrounds this stunning place is breath taking. They went the extra mile to make our stay unique and memorable. An absolute must visit place on any bucket list.

Absolutely best choice to "touch" the jungle, however better not to walk alone at night because of plenty venomous snakes living arround. Very warm welcome from the local staff. Top guide skills concerning the wild life knowledge. Simple but excellent food. Unique place valued for MUST SEE!!!!

This was the best part of a very good trip, the guide was fantastic and so was out boat boy. All of staff went out of their way to ensure you had a great stay. The wildlife was amazing, saw everything we hoped for and a clouded leopard! Food was good, rooms were clean. Would recommend to anyone!

We recently spent one night here and it is a very beautiful and remote setting. The room was basic but clean. We had some great boat trips and a night walk with our guide Ron who was brilliant. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The food was a disappointment, much better in the... More

What a great start to our jungle safari holiday, excellent food, staff friendly and very helpful. Rooms clean and comfortable in great surroundings. Daily river cruises were packed with wildlife, Proboscus monkeys, macaques, Pigmy Elephant, crocodile, too many birds to mention. The huge wild boar roaming around under the boardwalk and rooms looked scary but seemed friendly enough. Great walks... More

Right on the river, this small, very friendly lodge is the perfect place to spot wildlife - and the guides on the daily river boat trips can spot the proboscis monkeys a mile away, Plus you will also almost certainly see long tailed and maybe other macaques, river birds, such as kingfishers, and crocodiles. And by the lodge you will... More

This lodge exceeded our expectations. The staff are so friendly and efficient. The food was far better then expected with a wide variety at every meal. Our guide Basri and boat boy Jackson were excellent, we saw loads including the elusive clouded leopard! The night walks were very informative and my phobia for snakes diminished thanks to Basri. We even... More

Wow this place is a gem!! Second stop on our honeymoon and somewhere my wife and I will never ever forget. Towards the end of the season so very quiet, but we were still treated so well and the staff are all fantastic. Special mention to our guide Abbas who was with us from the airport to our departure. He... More

Booked through SI Tours and couldn't have been a better experience. Their guide Terrye was incredible at spotting wildlife on our boat safari's day or night. We got to see baby crocodiles, adult crocs and of course a huge array of birds and monkeys including Proboscis, Macaques and Silver Tails. The lodge staff were excellent and always helpful, food was... More
