We spent there four nights, but literally nights – rest of the time we were sailing on klotok or walking in the forest. It was a real pleasure to come at the lodge after a looong day, eat something delicious on the boat or at the lodge restaurant, take a shower and fall asleep. It is far away from any... More

we arrived there after an hour trip onthe river seeing probiscus monkeys, macques and even wild orangutans. we were warmly greeted bythe smiley staff and taken to our rooms. Considering we are in the middle of nowhere and right in the jungle, this place was wonderful! Comfortable rooms, good hot showers and even aircon! We asked for our room to... More

Rimba Lodge itself is very comfortable and perfect for the setting. Sleeping on a boat is definitely recommended. The guide and crew were excellent. The lady cooking made wonderful dishes in a cramped space below decks. The organisation of the trip by Ecolodges Indonesia, including flights in and out of Kalimantan, was very smooth and efficient. I would strongly recommend... More

We loved everything about this lodge. If you are looking for wildlife you can't go wrong with the Rimba Lodge. We were able to see many orangutans as well as the very beautiful fresh water crocodile (Tomistoma schlegelii). There were proboscis monkeys on the lodge grounds, in fact sometimes even on the roof our of room. The staff were excellent... More

We had the most wonderful time at Rimba Lodge-myself-my children and parents really enjoyed our stay-the staff were great-helpful-knowledgeable etc. Our guide Hata was lovely and caring. The park each day brought us new things to see and do and the lodge was very comfortable and clean and the food good too. The trip was very special on so many... More

I concur with SalNeighbour, wonderful experience. The lodge was clean, food good and staff soooo friendly, and yes, Pardi was an excellent guide along with Erry (?) and others. Would love to go back. More

We took my parents to visit Rimba and meet the orangutans and it was an amazing experience for all of us - one of our best holidays ever. Rimba Lodge is a wonderful eco lodge - the rooms were very clean and sizeable, food was tasty and plentiful, staff were friendly, especially our guide Pardi, who really looked after us... More

We booked our tour directly through Rimba. We made our own flight reservations to Pangkalanbun airport through Trigana Air (Bali-Surabaya-Pangkalanbun). The lodge itself is wonderful with nice huts among raised walkways right in the jungle. We saw lots of wildlife the moment we arrived there: an amazing Asian water dragon, colored kingfisher, tri-colored squirrels, and the macaques. The Rimba package... More

We spent two nights here with our three children (ages 7, 9, & 13). We enjoyed our stay very much. The wildlife viewing (which you do from a river boat, using Rimba a place to rest your head at night) is spectacular. My kids were blown away seeing orangutans and proboscis monkeys and hornbills. Rimba is rustic, but I think... More

We traveled to Rimba Lodge as a family of 3 and we absolutely agree with the review by Deborah from Manchester: staying at the Rimba Lodge was unforgettable. The staff were really helpful, and our room was lovely, we really felt in the heart of the forest with monkeys in the trees right outside our room, and the sounds of... More
