Pleasant helpful staff - shame about the poor state of the room. Badly needed a refurbishment. Bed sagged in the middle, pillows were hard and the duvet too short. Windows didn't close and needed a paint job. No air con and windows wouldn't open fully as we were on the ground floor so the room was stuffy. Shower room tiles... More

Make sure B4 travelling you have the correct SatNav post code B34 NOT B36, spent some time at midnight finding this one. Free parking, accommodation require some upgrading comfy bed but room looks fairly tired.

Deaf awareness - staff need awareness how to communicate with deaf people properly. Room good but window frame rotten, caused damp? Lucky we stay the weather was nice warm. What if its cold and freezing it will dampen the room?

As this is an old Inn Keepers Lodge the rooms are a good size. I Found the location a little noisy on the first floor next to the main road. If i go back again would get a room near the back and on upper floor to avoid the noise.

If you are visiting the NEC and need good priced accommodation then this is the place. Toby Carvery next door, local shops and amenities and 10 mins drive to NEC..recommended, good size bedrooms and more than adequate bathroom with spacious walk in shower.

The disabled room I booked seemed great on first view. However, there was only one chair, the sink was blocked and the shower hose had a bad leak which had been 'mended' with sellotape! Basic things which should have been fixed, not ignored. Although the receptionist tried her best with a plunger, the blockage was too severe; it seemed that... More

Stayed at this travel lodge for the second time while visiting friends. Nothing has changed since we last stayed. Still needs decorating and a good clean, although, it is convenient and the beds are comfy

If you stay at a Travelodge you know what to expect. Low price, simple but comfortable room. Basic shower room and a cardboard box for breakfast, and they take dogs! This one is ideal for the NEC and is next door to a carvery serving good food. There are newer and better Travelodges than this one, but I am not... More

I travel a lot with work, on average two hotel stays a week for the last 6 years. This was the worst experience of my life, and I paid £90 for the privilege. The room was filthy - if I ran my finger against the wall it came off covered in dust. The windows were broken and covered in rust.... More

Booked for 1 night to be near the NEC as exhibiting at Crufts next day. Appreciate we had a dog booked in as well (£20 extra), the room we were given might have been a dedicated "dog" room (fair enough) but was not clean, walls needed painting, windows rotting and noisy traffic, had to wipe lights switches myself (last resident...
