This stylish hotel is perfect for a relaxing break. The staff are friendly and the rooms are immaculate. The buffet-style breakfast caters to all tastes and includes hot food as well as fresh fruit and pastries. However, the hotel is a bit too far away from the main beach at Mellieha. Although our brochure said it was 900m, it failed... more

Stayed here a week 22-29 June. Booked inland view, B + B basis. We got a balcony overlooking the church and the sea in the main building. Large room, good sized ensuite, both excellently cleared. Terrific breakfast from fry up to muesli and everything in between. Breakfast staff efficient and cheerful. Bar bit expensive, but happy hour 6:30 - 7:30.... more

To be honest i was expectng good things of this place but in reality its just ok !, it has some really good points like the buffet breakfast being a wide variety and the cleanliness of the rooms, also the nice gardens and pool. But all of that is let down by the random drainage smells around the place, the... more

Stayed at the Maritim for 2 nights (23-25 June 2009) and we really enjoyed our stay. We got a room by the street, across from the other building of the hotel. Although there was some traffic noise during the day, it didn't really bother us since we were outside the hotel most of the time. We booked a double room... more

We stayed at the Maritim for 3 nights (5th - 8th June '09) whilst in Malta for a family wedding. Overall we were very pleased with our choice of hotel. The hotel is split into 2 buildings, located opposite one another, with a road running between them. We were located in the second building (not the main hotel) on the... more

There are some good points about this hotel, I was visiting Malta to attend a wedding, the reception of which was held at the hotel and the hotel really stepped up to the mark – the setting was beautiful (in the evening at the garden pool) and the food was the most enjoyable I had while in Malta. Other plus... more

I stayed in this hotel a few weeks ago. The hotel was nice and The Arches across the road was fab. I dined in the bistro a few times and it was good but the last time i dined there there was an issue with the credit card machine. The machine went off after i put in the pin so... more

This is one of the best 4 star hotels in Malta. Personally it is at the same level of a few 5 star hotels in Malta. Our room was very good sized with a balcony with sea and pool views, clean and modern. We were on B&B basis but opted for HB basis for an extra 12 euros, food was... more

Poor quality beds with stained mattress. Room not well equipped - no chair, broken furniture, no heating. Breakfast items often run out. Tables not cleared quickly. Garden furniture not cleaned. Cockroaches in tunnel from old hotel to new wing. Service very mixed level and unfriendly welcome at 1am. How can this claim to be 4 star? more
