The hotel is outside Mellieha, quite far from bus station and on a small hill. We hired a motorbike, so we did not mind the isolated location and we could visit the north part of Malta + Gozo. Stayed at the Selmun palace recently with my husband. Good points - Hotel room clean and spacious, staff friendly and reception area nice. Bad points - The hotel decor needs updating, it all looks pretty tired. Most of the gym equipment didn't work. Entertainment was minimal, however the singer on Friday evening was very good. it is the worst hotel we have ever stayed in it was dirty the grounds where not looked after the pool was dirty i dont think they know how to clean the only good thing is the food i will never go back again and please dont book a wedding there more

Hotel out in the sticks along a 1km road with no lights. Hotel courtesy bus stops at 1pm, so you are stuck as the buses are at the end of 1km road. My boyfriend brought me to this hotel last year for our 2nd anniversary and made me his fiancee. The staff were all very helpful, the room was cleaned, linen and towels were changed every day, it was cool, the fan kept the mozzies out, only issue was not being able to work out the patio door and that was it.... more

1st holiday with our two year old. We booked last minute and did not read any reviews, thought 4* therefore should be fine. Closer to holiday looked at some reviews and was very worried about staying especially with the little one.
