We stayed in Grand Palace for a week in May. After staying in the Marina Suites Puerto Rico the previous year we found the rooms very small. You simply couldnt relax in your room during the day or evening as there was simply nowhere to sit. Add to the fact the hotel itself looked like a WW2 bunker and badly... more

first time in gran canaria & couldn't have picked a better hotel. Room was great, was a family garden suite on the ground floor and was spacious & clean. Kids loved the location, right on the beach and the pool and gardens were lovely. Usually like to eat out most nights but this holiday we decided to go half board.Was... more

Second visit to this hotel and it would be a pleasure to return again. The food is good and plentiful, facilities are a little dated - but so what! Hotel is very clean and well maintained, service is excellent and staff helpful and friendly. Bedroom and bathroom spacious and well furnished, with lovely views across the garden towards the sea.... more

Although this hotel is a little dated there are lots of plus points for this hotel. The location is fabulous if you like the beach, you just walk straight out onto the beach from the back of the hotel. It is a 5-minute walk to the shops, bars & restaurants, in a better location than villa del Conde which is... more

The hotel looks like a 1960's municpal car park. The overall look is dated and needs a huge over haul. The gardens are lovely and well cared for. We had to change rooms as the first room had water dripping from the air conditioning unit overnight and also had black mould growing both inside and outside the AC unit. The hotel... more

We visited this hotel in the beginning of August. A very traditional hotel..not sure if it deserves a 5 star rating though however, it has great service and the staff is always willing to help! We were upgraded to sea view on arrival which was a very nice surprise and the view was really lovely! They took into account all... more

This is our 3rd time at this hotel. It is a lovely hotel and offers a good standard of accomodation. 2 good size pools and close to a modern town with good resturants. The hotel has changed management this year and seems more focused on older clientel without children. The advertised Kids club was not running and the facility was... more

First time visit to Gran Canaria and a Riu Hotel. Doesn't look that great but the hotel ticks all the boxes if you want a relaxing holiday in a situation near to a great beach with acres of well tended gardens to chill out in. Played tennis on good courts and meals were very good. Night time entertainment was a... more
