We stayed at the maspolomas princess for 2 weeks half board, booked with thomas Cook. After booking we discovered that AI was available and requested this "up-grade"but were told directly from the hotel that all inclusive was not offered to anyone other than the Germans!! Booked this hotel 18 days before departure through Thomsons website. It is portrayed as a 5 star hotel but do not be fooled it certainly isn't. The rooms are fine the food is fine but nothing special and there is no "show cooking". The staff in general are not overly friendly and the reception staff could do with being more... more

Just returned from a 2 week stay here with my husband and 6 year old daughter. Hotel in general clean, had ants in the bathroom. With regards to food if you are looking for a hot meal you can forget it everything is tepid, the breakfasts are cooked inbulk with plates of eggs and bacon stock piled. This hotel is nowhere near its star rating and we felt very let down. It was very much in favour of the German guests who were all inclusive and the only English tv channel was the news. Having to pay a weekly rate for a warm fridge and a safe on top of your bill is dreadfull and reception staff... more

You get what you pay for with a platinum holiday through Thompson. Lets face it, the airline are charter, so do not expect great things. Aldo zilly meals on plane are ...........not great but edible, I prefer Pret-a manger sandwiches and a nice glass of chardonnay! The cabin crew are.....charter.
