My first visit was in 1982 (so I'm told as I was a baby at the time!) and I've been back almost every year since. This was our third stay at the Vasco da Gama having last stayed here in 2004 and 2009 and again we cannot fault the hotel. The staff are all friendly, helpful and welcoming and the hotel is very clean. Don't be put off by the tired condition of the corridors because the bedrooms and public areas are nicely decorated. Our...

We returned as usual in June 2011 and once again had a wonderful holiday. The staff of the Hotel are so pleasant and provide good 'old fashioned' service. Lovely and clean and well presented bedroom with some new furniture.
Multi choice breakfast foods from the buffet improved again this year with the addition of a good selection of fresh fruit...
