Far from city center or from old town. The hotel is not maintained up to date. Old TV is one of signs of not a modern property. It obtained high score relatively to other hotels nearby, so I wonder how worse are the others. It is not a 4 stars hotel in any manner. Free WiFi only in public areas.

Very calm and nice hotel. Not in the center but close to the city. Very relaxing and the staff is fantastic. Very professional. The breakfast was a little bit disappointing for a 4-star hotel but apart from that was great.

We stayed at this hotel for one night and enjoyed it very much, but I have to say right away that our room's AC was not good enough to cool the room. The air barely came out of the vent at all even though we had it in the highest speed, so 2 hours after we went to bed we... More

We stayed here for a week while visiting the Beira region. Even tough it was very cold outside the hotel was warm and comfortable, the fireplace was always lit and the seasons decoration made it cosy. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the warm indoor pool and jacuzzi on several occasions, great after our long walks. We... More

The town of Guarda is a surprise for those who have never been there. I returned to Guarda after several years and decided to choose a diferent hotel. The Lusitania Hotel surpassed my expectations, well located with a good view over the town, is not at the center but you get there in a 5 minutes drive. The staff is... More

Stayed two nights November 10 and 11, 2013. Very efficient reception staff, huge room, excellent facilities all round. My only 'complaint' was the very low level of lighting in the bedroom. I couldn't read in bed and it was only just possible to work at the desk after dark. Breakfast buffet was excellent. The hotel is about 3 miles /... More

Very nice hotel, with great facilities. Good breakfast with local products, fresh fruit. The hotel is out of town and need transport to reach the city communities. View from the room we had was beautiful. Large and spacious room. The bed was very comfortable. Clean bathrooms and showers. We were at the hotel one night on the way from Lisbon... More

everything was great; A comfortable big room, good breakfast, very good receotion, modern facilities. The hotel is located far from the historic/touristic area of the town, not far from the high way, which has its disadvantage and explain its inexpensive price. ........................

We stayed at the hotel from 1-2 August 2013 whilst participating in an organised tour of Portugal. The room was beautiful with an excellent view. Both the evening meal and breakfast were very good. I had a problem connecting to the internet and received great help from Philipe in the reception who gave me a cable. This enabled me to... More

I stayed at Lusitânia for one night on the 26th of June, room 119. The hotel is conveniently located close to two major motorways intersection (A23 and A25, connecting Guarda to Lisbon and Aveiro, respectively) and just 40 km from Vilar Formoso, one of the most important border crossings with Spain and Portugal's major gateway for drivers from and to...
