Ignored by the staff a few times, making us feel their phone call was more important than their guests. Room so basic I felt I was in my own room in a hostel, we weren't even given hand towels without asking. Beds were very small and my friend fell out of hers. Something was living in the roof, which had... More

Recently stayed here for one night. Beautiful location and very clean, just basic but all that you need. The beds are singles but were surprisingly comfortable. The breakfast provided an adequate choice. There is plenty to do if you stay here. Would recommend.

Its a good walk from the ferries and the train, but a nice walk along the water. Facilities were a little dated, but very clean. I felt like an inconvenience/annoyance to staff at the desk. But, it was a very fair/cheap price. Breakfast was ok with a fair selection. Good value. Wifi in Reception area only. Morning staff was pleasant... More

We stayed one night here, after a long hiking trip. The guest house is dated, but the rooms are spacious enough, and nice and clean. The inn is located a bit away from the city centre, so it's very quiet there. But because Flåm is so small, it's not far to walk anywhere. The standard was pretty basic. There's only... More

We stayed one night in Heimly. We had a room with a view of the fjord. You can call it retro or dated, but the place is in character with the area. Everything was clean, unfortunately there was a smell of the bathroom. Staff very friendly , breakfast good enough.

We stayed here after a day of trains and hiking with backpacks (11 day trip inside). The woman at the desk was very welcoming despite our very late arrival and gave us good tips on where to eat and what to do. The heated floors in the bathroom were amazing as we had just hiked in chilly rain the entire... More

We picked this hotel because it was recommended by Rick Steves. Normally I love all of his recommendations, but he got this one wrong. Plus: Away from the busy part of town with nice fjord views from the front steps. Inexpensive for Norway standards. Negatives: Unfriendly older woman at front desk (the younger one was friendly). The rooms are very... More

Stayed here for one night during a heat wave (hottest week in 25 yrs for Norway). No air movement even with the windows open. The bathroom only had hot water, and not much pressure for showers. Beds were narrow, and (unlike what I had been promised) there was no way to have them next to each other to create a... More

Biggest problem here was lack of wifi connectivity. For some reason their wireless router would not work consistently with anything except Apple devices. All the users on iPods or iPhones were able to login. Users on either Android or Windows devices were out of luck. We needed to confirm our room reservation in Oslo, because of our very late arrival... More

This is a well-positioned but very basic guesthouse. Our 3 night stay was pleasant enough but certainly could have been better. The guesthouse has a great location a welcome few hundred metres out of the excessively touristy centre of tiny Flåm. Unfortunately ours was not a fjord view room but instead faced the hillside, however we were notified in advance... More
