- we stayed in 4-bedded dorm, ended up in a nice room in a small hut - just behind the ferry terminal, 10 min walk - clean, with stove and cooking tools inside the room - BUT NOK10 for every 4 minute hot shower - BUT toilet, washing facility, shower at the building opposite the hut, have to walk across... more

This place is fantastic! Spotlessly clean, helpful, friendly and in a beautiful setting. We stayed in a lovely little cabin on the campsite, with fridge and two ring cooker a short walk from the main building. The showers/toilets are really clean. If you want a hot shower you will need coins (10kr for 5mins). There are basics (milk, bread, soups,... more

This place was fantastic! My boyfriend and I stayed here one night in a small cabin. We loved everything about it. The cabins were clean and comfortable (the bunk beds are narrow, but that is the only con), the grounds are kept very clean, and the people are incredibly friendly. The location is great because it is slightly away from... more

Located within 5-minute walk to water (drop off point for Norway in a Nutshell). Small assortment of grocery items at front desk you can purchase. Must pay for shower use – 10NOK for 5 minutes of hot water but ice-cold water is free. Dorm-style showers even for those in double rooms. Shared kitchen facility (stove-top, sink, microwave, minifridge, and oven),... more

We really enjoyed our stay in one of the cabins at Flam campsite and youth hostel. The cabins don't cost much more than the rooms in the hostel (if you are an IYHA member), so we felt this was worth it. When we arrived both Gjertrud and Erling were very friendly despite the fact that they always seem to be... more

We stayed in one of the cabins at this camp site & hostel for 3 nights during June. The cabin had two rooms - a bed room with bunk beds and a living area with couch, small table and kitchen - which was equipped with cooking equipment and had two stove top elements, but no oven/grill or toaster. Bathroom facilities... more

I totally agree with the previous review. We stayed here in late August, and it was a perfectly clean, neat, and basic place to stay. A good deal in Norway, and was a great base for outdoor activities in Flam. Was really helpful to have a nice kitchen to cook a quick dinner in -- restaurants in Flam are not... more

I hope I've chosen the right name for the hostel we stayed in - it was the only hostel in Flam in any case. It was really very nice budget accommodation, a short walk from the fjord's port. We stayed in a private room within a woodpine chalet (no private bathroom). The place is actually a camping site as well... more
