The aparments are really nice and cozy. The owner is very friendly and helped us a lot when trying to find the place, which is a bit difficult task. I really recommend this place if you are looking for a quiet place next to the fiords.

After eight days of travel, my daughter and I stopped here for 24 hours while on the "Norway in a Nutshell" tour. It was such a gorgeous, peaceful place to stay. It was extremely large compared to any of the other places we had stayed. Some Americans seem to expect the large places they are used to at home when... More

The hostess was friendly and so very helpful. Wish we could have stayed longer. The cottage was very clean and comfortable. The town is nearby and had many different places to eat. Flam Oppelving will remain one of the highlights to our Scandinavian trip.

Flåm Oppleving is perfect. Me and my friend were travelling about Norway, exploring the country, and stayed here for 3 nights. It was clean, well facilitated, warm, peaceful and set on the side of the valley with amazing views down into the rest of the village. The host was lovely, she was chatty, friendly, accommodating and also lent us two... More

If you read reviews dated earlier than this one, they provide a very good summary of what to expect and how good the accommodations are. There are a few things worth stressing. You should plan on paying in cash. Make sure you have enough to include linens if you rent them. There are no other places to eat other than... More

Very pleasant owner/hostess. Very spacious and roomy (actually a 2-bedroom apartment with kitchen). Quite comfortable. More than necessary for a 1-night stay, but perfect for longer visits. Has a lovely view of the valley and surrounding mountains and waterfalls. It would have been nice if if the hotel-booking websites noted that this establishment doesn't take credit cards. (We had to... More

I stayed here with my husband and two kids for one night this summer. It's located about 3 kilometers from the fjord, so there is no fjord view here, but you will have magnificent views of the the mountains. Jorunn is an excellent host. She was very helpful driving us into town a couple of times since our car broke... More

Pronounced "Flom' by the locals, it is tucked away in the Sognesfjord and proved to be a wonderful place to kick back... providing one is staying in the real and original Flam as opposed to the harbour which snaffled the name some time back, and where all time-poor and slightly panicky cruisers descend. Two train stops up from the Flam... More

We stayed two nights at Flam Oppleving. We were a couple traveling with our 3 year old grandson, and this accommodation seemed a good alternative to the overpriced apartments/hotels in Flam. We were very glad we did. Hareina is a small village in the valley. You can get there by car, or you can take the train from Myrdal to... More

For our annual family trip in 2012 we decided to travel to Norway. A beautiful country, as was described by all the travel books and magazines. However while researching where to visit in Norway, we zoomed in on Hareina near Flam village. We fell for this charming place called Flam Oppleving which is within two minutes' walk from the Hareina... More
