We stayed here one night in June. The hotel has great potential, seems to be a little run down though, with small details not taken care of. First room we got was without balcony and they forgot to put towels. But they were willing to provide us another very nice spacy room with balcony - we got a special deal... More

We paid 80 euros per night for this hotel in early October. This is cheap for the South of France. So we were not expecting much and I suppose for the price it was reasonable. Our room was spacious enough with a little terrace overlooking the square. What was good was despite the terrible decor, the cafe Progres below serves... More

The hotel was in a great location in a really beautiful hilltop village. We stayed in November so most of the town was shut down but the restaurant in the hotel (Cafe Progres) was still open and we had a wonderful dinner and lunch there. The food and service was excellent. The hotel was very pretty and had a lovely... More

Rack rate for my room at the end of October 2011 was almost 250 Euros. This is the South of France and the hotel is in the middle of a charming and touristy village, but the quality of what is actually on offer still just does not stack up. The rooms are spartan and dark, the advertised wifi does not... More

We chose a "chambre superior" which was really expensive per sqm. The room was around 10 sqm, we were sharing the terrasse with others. When we asked for a better room, they said it was one of the favourites of the clients because the other rooms were noisy because of the road... No mini bar in the room "because you... More

We stayed at the Hostellerie du Cigalou for 2 nights last weekend. We were a little apprehensive after reading the reviews on Tripadvisor, but our stay was very comfortable. We had a room overlooking the road, which we requested, and the first night left the window open and found it very noisy, however, the second night we closed the windows... More

The receptionist was not at all nice and client oriented. The price on the room was 20 EUR less than the one on the internet reservation. The noise during night and early morning made us to feel not so confortable. After all we were in holiday.....In the evening you cannot relax on the terrace because of the smell from the... More

Hostellerie du Cigalou offers pleasant accommodation in this charming hillside town. Our room-a Bucolique- was spacious, pretty, and with a large bathroom. A small terrace looked out to the sea and to the Ile Port-Cros. The swimming pool was small and not adequately looked-after- but fine for a quick cooling dip. Many of the rooms are over the hostellerie's restaurant.... More

This is a very charming hotel situated in a beautiful old village. The rooms are a bit more stylish than your average French hotel and the bathroom was great. The person at reception didn't speak English (we managed with our limited French), however there are staff in the bar and restaurant who can speak some English and all the staf... More

Here is what I liked about the Hotel, the location is great (in the old village of Bormes-les-Mimosas) the rooms are pretty nice (our one room was quite big and I would say above average in decor). That being said, everything else was pretty much a disaster. They never bothered to make up our room the next day because "they... More
