“Arrive late, leave early”

This is a good choice if you need to get away from the considerably higher hotel prices in Oulu, and if you travel by car. The brochures offer a view over Kiiminki river, but what you see is à supermarket and à parking lot. The rooms are decent, though, and breakfast is mainstream medium. “Ten hour break”

OK, if you are looking for some action or entertainment Oulu is some 20kms south. But we just needed a budget break for driving to Lapland - not willing to pay higher prices of Oulu. Samantta is clean, small hotel. Not fancy, but everything works. Restaurant is good enough for tired (but hungry) traveller and probably the best in Haukipudas. More
