We were a group of ten cyclists on a cycling holiday and after 60k riding and arriving at the hotel as 5.30pm were aghast to discover all our rooms were dirty and not made up. When asked why we were informed the hotel simply had not got to our rooms yet and as the hotel was full there was nothing... More

Hotel Cosmopolite had been warmly recommended by a close relative who lives in Nieupoort. I booked through booking.com and… as happened to me a couple of times before, got a bedroom below standard. Yes, it was clean, and big. Yes, we were greeted in our language by very nice people at the reception and the breakfast was great. But though... More

Check-in took a while because the person at the front desk was occupied for several minutes at the phone, not taking the initiative to prioritize all the waiting guests over some guy on the phone who was constantly asking about unimportant stuff you could easily read on the website. Room was clean and big enough for 4. View was on... More

Check-in no problem -very helpful receptionist. Choice of lifts. Room (4th floor) good size for a twin room. Underfoor heating very nice in January but meant room got too warm -open window and traffic noise intruisve. Location good for beach/promenade and main shopping street. Breaksfat Ok but room area when busy cramped -needs a re-think. Have to overspill into bar/cafeteria... More

Stayed here to visit family. The hotel isn't a big deal. Front desk was operated by a student who didn't know what he was doing. Luckily a supervisor showed up after a while who checked me in. The newly renovated rooms are OK. The older rooms need to be renovated. Breakfast isn't a big deal, but everything is there. The... More

We had a very good stay at the hotel. Staff and food very good, hotel room was very clean. The pillows on the bed were not very good (too soft). The hotel is located next to the beach, the tram stop is 2 mins walk to/from the hotel. Will book again. Thank you to all the staff who are very... More

Spent two nights in hotel Cosmopolite having a suite (must be booked directly from the hotel). Good experience; it's worth to pay 30 €/night more in comparison to a standard room and get more space (separate bedroom) and a small roof balcony where you can see a patch of sea. Good bed, the sofa-bed in the living looks a bit... More

Stayed for 3 nights in this hotel. In general it's a nice hotel with a good sized room and bathroom. It was clean and it was wel cleaned during my stay. The breakfast was also good however the staff was not very polite, I was twice nearly run over by a woman bringing new bread to the table. The room... More

Stayed here for 1 night having been delayed on the Channel Tunnel, arrived around 10pm, everywhere was shut including the bar, there didn't seem to be anywhere else open locally. The breakfast was excellent and the hotel seemed clean, although the pillows felt cheap and uncomfortable.
