The hotel is central in a nice position close to everything. The reception is almost always closed, and you have to go to the next door restaurant Il Padrino (same owner) if you need anything. Not the best, but manageable. Most of the people I met at the reception don't speak English, but many other languages are spoken (French, Dutch,... More

Enjoy staying in this hotel as it reminds Alsace houses. Well located about 10' drive to the Castle. The restaurant has a good service and cuisine. Breakfast is excellent. Overall quality still the same as of 5 years ago. Nice to open the window early morning and have the river view.

Trying to book in was problematic. The owner could not speak a word of English and through an interpreter I showed n my booking that I specifically asked for a room with a view of the castle. I had to pay more for a room with sort of a view, but still could not see the castle. I had to... More

This is not a wonderful hotel. On arrival (1730), our room was not prepared and eventually we were given another room. This smelt of urine from the bathroom. The window was difficult to open and had a hairline crack. I think you get the picture. We did not eat breakfast.

Hotel location is just off the edge of the main roundabout where a bridge crosses the river. Rather than driving a considerable distance round the town to come down the steep one-way street to reach the hotel you can stop on the roundabout and reverse a few meters while you book in. The nearest parking is disc controlled, there is... More

Bouillon is a sleepy river town and the Duc de Bouillon sits on a steep narrow side street. We stayed on a Monday evening and may have been possibly the only guests at the hotel that evening. The hotel clerk was waiting for us to arrive and was very friendly but spoke very little English. She directed us to an... More
