The Hotel Haidenhof is situated just outside the old town (5 minute walk) on a hillside, resulting in breathtaking views of both the surrounding Dolimite mountains and also Lienz itself. This is a great hotel, located out of the main town, situated on a little slope. Because of its location, it is quiet and tranquil although it is not easily reached from the Hauptbahnhof. We were driving so we did not have this problem. The directions, through the town, to the hotel were clear. The hotel itself has been renovated... more

Nice, quiet location. Truely stunning views of the dolomites greet you at breakfast. Friendly staff, basic but clean accomodation, good breakfast offer. Easy walk to town. A simple but nice hotel with a authentically 'Austrian' feel. more
