Absolutely charming hotel. We got a lovely warm welcome with sherry and olives and then shown our room. The room was small but pretty with a lovely bathroom, but the real draw was the patio - we had a two level balcony with a beautiful view. We spent hours sitting in the spring sunshine watching the birds circling below us.... More

We stayed here in two rooms prior to Christmas. It was like staying in a private house with quaint furnishings and furniture and open fire in the communal lounge. The breakfast, home cooked, was the best we had in Spain. We walked from the bus station which is a long way uphill! Suggest a taxi which takes you to a... More

I simply loved the place. The rooms are very well kitted for. Spacious with a little area to sit and read. The views are incredible. It's very clean and you quickly feel at home in the place. The Breakfast is the best I have ever had in Spain. This was originally a private home and the owner was there at... More

We were put in the basement and we were glad we did. Beautiful veranda and great views. Had some friends meet up with us in Arcos for the "Living Nativity" and it was a blast. Had them to our patio and sipped wine and ate some snacks waiting to see the nativity scene put on by the towns people. Do... More

This hotel is a joy. Perched on the rocky outcrop with stunning views over the landscape below. Get a room with a balcony, park your car in Paseo Andalucia, unwind for 2 days, take breakfast in the hotel and enjoy sunset drink on the rooftop terrace. Explore the local bars and restaurants for lunch and dinner. Arcos is a lovely... More

My husband and I stay for 3 nights at this lovely hotel when using Arcos de la Frrontera as a base to visit Cadiz and Rhonda. Firstly the directions the hotel gave us to get to the square through the narrow windy streets and park your car were spot on. You then need to walk to the hotel with your... More

Cool house. Quirky. Simple rooms but nice style. Get a room with a private terrace! Panoramic view. Breakfast is fab - presented with panache - and not your standard. You can buy wine by the glass to sip as you watch the sun go down! The drive up the hill to the old town is very steep and narrow but... More

We stayed at the very distinctive and outstanding hotel for 3 nights earlier this month. We were warmly greeted with a glass of sherry on arrival, having travelled by taxi from Rota. What an amazing little oasis... this beat the parador hands down. We had a lovely room literally hanging off the edge of the cliff, with an amazing balcony and patio that overlooked such a stunning valley. This home (now a hotel) built in 1505 is full of charter and intrigue. The staff were wonderful, the breakfast delicious. We would stay... More

Thanks for your review! We are really pleased to hear you had a nice experience at La Casa Grande (built in 1729, not 1505!)... You are very welcome to repeat a visit in your next trip to Spain. Kindest regards, La Casa Grande More

La Casa Grande was a beautiful respite, and we spent 3 days enjoying the hospitality of the staff. We used Arcos de la Frontera as our home base for the area, so after a day of exploring Arcos, Vejer, and numerous mountain White Towns, we'd indulge in a peaceful siesta before enjoying wine on the patio. The views were stunning,... More
