We stayed in Arcos for one night and were lucky to choose this charming hotel. The owner treated us warmly and served us a glass of sherry while we checked in. We were upgraded to a superior room next to the terrace and the views here were marvellous. Our room was as you'd expect in an old house, charming and... More

This historic building is definitely in the heart of the most historic part of the archetypical white hill town of Arcos. It is within steps of the high point on the cliff that forms the old town. It is up narrow, winding streets that are a little intimidating to drive for the first time, although the locals drive up and... More

I can not understand how this hotel is ranked #1. Without a doubt the worst place we have stayed in our 2 week visit to Spain. We had a junior suite - we crawled thru a window to stay in the attic! Cinderella had it better than we did. Narrow steps up 2 long flights carrying luggage. No wifi in... More

Dear Ladymn, We regret you had a negative impression of our hotel and desagree with most of our guests. The room where you stayed at is a very big and comfortable room that has inmediate access to the roof terrace. This is usually a highlight to our guests rather than a complaint. Our hotel is an 18th century building with... More

Twenty five years ago my wife and I stayed in room 50 of the Hotel Subasio in Assisi France - a room enjoyed by European royalty, celebrities, and the rich and famous. When we entered that room, there were a pair of doors that looked out to the vast countryside surrounding Assisi and the view captivated us. Our room at... More

Casa Grande has an intimate bed and breakfast feel to it and, hands down a spectacular view. To compliment this, their service is top notch. When we arrived we actually had no reservation. Our travel agent had slipped up and never booked us. They took care of us and put us at ease. They found us a room with an... More

Absolutely charming hotel. We got a lovely warm welcome with sherry and olives and then shown our room. The room was small but pretty with a lovely bathroom, but the real draw was the patio - we had a two level balcony with a beautiful view. We spent hours sitting in the spring sunshine watching the birds circling below us.... More

We stayed here in two rooms prior to Christmas. It was like staying in a private house with quaint furnishings and furniture and open fire in the communal lounge. The breakfast, home cooked, was the best we had in Spain. We walked from the bus station which is a long way uphill! Suggest a taxi which takes you to a... More

I simply loved the place. The rooms are very well kitted for. Spacious with a little area to sit and read. The views are incredible. It's very clean and you quickly feel at home in the place. The Breakfast is the best I have ever had in Spain. This was originally a private home and the owner was there at... More

We were put in the basement and we were glad we did. Beautiful veranda and great views. Had some friends meet up with us in Arcos for the "Living Nativity" and it was a blast. Had them to our patio and sipped wine and ate some snacks waiting to see the nativity scene put on by the towns people. Do... More

This hotel is a joy. Perched on the rocky outcrop with stunning views over the landscape below. Get a room with a balcony, park your car in Paseo Andalucia, unwind for 2 days, take breakfast in the hotel and enjoy sunset drink on the rooftop terrace. Explore the local bars and restaurants for lunch and dinner. Arcos is a lovely... More
