We booked this hotel according to Rich Steve's Spain 2009 book, and were so happy that we stayed with them. It's got an impressive courtyard with lots of potted flowers, roof terrace with a nice view of the surrounding countryside, and the old town, and our room (#12) had a big window with beautiful view. The hotel was very clean,... more
This was our second visit to Los Olivos. Our first stay coincided with the Feria de San Miguel by accident. This time we booked it by design. It's a four day "Town Fair" that just amazes the senses. Delighted to say that the hotels high standards have been maintained, thankfully by the same staff. The front rooms have amazing views and... more
The hotel is rated as three star but was one of the most positive surprises on our trip in Andalucia. When I approached the building (found it by coincidence), I was a bit sceptical because it seemed dull and unprofessional. My scepticism quickly dissappeared. Small and family-run, it gives an peaceful yet intimate atmosphere. The building itself is lovely laid... more
Los Olivos is a well run three star hotel straddling the old and new town sections of Los Arcos. Stayed here late May, 2008. Nice rooms with limited mini bar. Good sized full bath. Very clean. Easy ten minute walk into (more like up to) old town without the the parking or driving hassles. 7 Euros to park in a... more
Hotel Los Olivos was MAGNIFICENT! We went to Arcos on Easter weekend after the Semana Santa to see the running of the bulls, and this hotel was wonderful. It is located on the street that runs parallel right next to the main street in town (where the bull running took place), so the hotel was easy to find, and it... more
What a wonderful experience! A beautiful hotel with a picturesque view. The staff were very friendly and helpful - they helped with our luggage, places to visit and eat, parking etc - and treated us like valued guests. The building is beautiful and built around a central courtyard which has tables and chairs. It would have been even more beautiful... more
This hotel is a small hotel, run by family. We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. The first night we stayed in a small room, though the matresses were really good, they had matress protectors of plastic. We complained about it, and got another room with a great view. Bathroom is very basic, but all you need is there.... more
Hotel offers breakfast, about 2.50 euro for coffee and toast, more for a buffet. chose to eat out, which is about a euro cheaper. well-located on a hill on way to the old town. struggled to find it at first as the map was very poor. rooms clean and fairly spacious. mine was on a ground floor. I stayed two... more
The mattresses in the room we stayed in need to be replaced. We had a terrible night's sleep, because you can feel the springs in the mattress, and it also sloped to one side. Also, the rooms fronting the street get noise. more
