El Convento is in the middle of the old town of Arcos. As other people have said in their reviews it's best to not drive into the old town because the roads are narrow and the only parking lot near by is usually full. My wife and I booked the room with a terrace to enjoy the amazing views. However,... more

Hotel El Convento is extremely well located in the middle of old town. Hotel staffs are very helpful. Our room has a large terraza with views of the valley below us, just incredible!. Hotel room is good size with sufficient room for 2 pieces of medium size luggage and somewhere to sit. All amenties is very clean and not cramp.... more

I agree with other reviewers that this hotel is a little difficult to get to by car. The streets in the old part of Arcos are extremely narrow and there is not very much parking in the central square by the parador. I did actually drive up and park but it was a squeeze. Probably better to park in the... more

We stayed one short night in this hotel at the beginning of our trip through Andalusia. The room was simply decorated with a decent sized bathroom and a little balcony overlooking the cliffs. Unfortunately it was completely foggy during our stay there, otherwise, I'm sure the view would have been amazing. Considering it was way off-season (Dec), I thought it... more

We stayed in the Rick Steves' room which had a great terrace with a fabulous view. The receptionist told us the resturant was closed (possibly for the winter) but suggested two other restaurants that were close by. Their breakfst room was open in the morning for guests. The room was very nicely decorated. At night, however, we could have used... more

We stayed here as the sister hotel "Los Olivos" was fully booked, and though the view was very impressive and we had a room with balcony, I did not find it to be worth the money. The room was clean, but the beads had some plastic mat underneath the beadspread, which made it rather uncomfortable to sleep in, as it... more

LOCATION: Great, nice views. Parador has a better view than here, only because it's much wider, definitely have a drink at the parador if you stay here. It's easy to find if you park near the Parador and walk right past the parador through the only narrow alley there and then follow the hotel signs. You only need to be... more

DONT take your car to this hotel, park in their sister hotel lower down in the town. The old town where the hotel is situated has some of the narrowest of roads i have ever encountered in a car! you are warned. Rooms adequate and have same view as parador next door but at half the price. Staff very helpful.... more

This hotel which has a "Rick Steve's" room even had Rick staying there during our visit. It is a marvelous place with a superb location and fabulous views of the river and valley. We stayed 2 nights and the town was having Los Cruces de Mayo festival which was fun. But 1 night is probably sufficient for Arcos. Driving up... more

We stayed at the Hotel el Convento for 1 night and this had to be the best view of any hotel in all Spain on our vacation. We had a balcony room, hanging on the edge of a cliff overlooking the valley below with farmland. Our room was tastefully decorated with a large bathroom. Breakfast was not included but you... more
