When in Cadiz Province (which I am quite frequently), this is my favorite hotel. Part of the Spanish Parador system (origins from 1928), this hotel was at one time the home of a nobleman. It has been modernized with a view to maintaining its charm. My wife and I booked a room with a terrace for 6 days, and we... More

This was the second Parador we stayed at after Ronda. What an amazing property. We had an amazing view from our terrace as we overlooked the patio and the valleys below, all the way out to the river. The staff was warm and friendly and was very helpful in helping us find the local places. Arcos is a very small... More

This is one of the smaller Paradors and is in a lovely 18th century Renaissance building occupying one side of Plaza del Cabildo at the very top of the old town. Drive up there carefully and retract your side mirrors in the narrowest parts to avoid scratches. There is a lovely central patio and an outside terrace with superb views.... More

The hotell is lovely, situated right on a cliff. We got room number 1, which I would encourage anyone to stay away from as there's absolutely no view from that room. There's rooms with balconys, and if you can't book one of those there's not much point in booking this hotel. Don't get me wrong, there's absolutely nothing wrong with... More

While in a Paradores Hotel in Galicia we were served small bite size pastries/biscuits with an order of Coffees In this Paradores in Argos de La Frontera there was a charge for the bite size Biscuits of one euro each for one biscuit. It's not the cost but the principle here! Surely, it's a nice touch to serve a little... More

I have stayed twice at the Parador hotel in Arcos and each time I leave thinking 'I must make an excuse to come back' as I love this hotel! It is quite intimate for a Parador, there aren't lots of rooms, thank goodness so the service is always personalised and you feel like a guest in someones, rather beautiful home,... More

My partner and I stopped at this parador during a holiday to the area. We stayed for 2 nights and were delighted with our experience. Having read reviews about the narrow streets we were intrigued and set off for our journey. The parador was designed in 1966 as a hotel and has wonderful traditional features. I particularly loved our room... More

Navigating a car up the old town road to the top of Arcos de la Frontera requires nerves of steel and a skinny vehicle. Parking at the bottom of the village is a safer bet. But it's worth getting to the church and the parador. A huge terrace at the top of the cliff where there is some parking shows... More

Since we got home we have been looking at photos of the view from this hotel and from our room and can't believe we were lucky enough to stay there! We booked - having read the reviews- a superior room with a balcony and at first regretted it because the weather was rainy and windy in the evening. However,in the... More

Booked to stay here but when I arrived I upgraded. A balcony is a must as the views are spectacular!! Restaurant food was very good and reasonable. Room lovely and clean. Even the mini bar had reasonable prices which is unusual!
