We stayed two very comfortable nights in a spacious room at La Thomasse. Front desk staff were very welcoming, happy to chat in French or English, and keen to offer advice on local area. We were slightly disappointed to find the restaurant closed for both evenings we were there: (it was connected with summer events in the town, which also... More

We were tired after cycling from Le Puy en Velay. We found La Thomasse from these reviews. The hotel is an oasis sitting above the main part of Aurillac in a quiet neighborhood. Our host Eric gave us the last room. We enjoyed several beers on the shady and delightful terrace while Eric told us stories of hosting teams during... More

Quiet suburban location, maybe 15 minutes on foot to town centre, with its own car park, garden and pool. All very charming and excellent value. The owners are friendly and attentive to their guests. There is no aircon or lift (elevator) but the WiFi is free and it works! The room was spacious clean and comfortable, and the restaurant (dinner... More

The rooms are very basic, but reasonably priced, however Eric the host settled us in personally, opened his bar, showed interest in our tour towards the cote d azure and suggested some wonderful ideas(- all turned out very worthwhile), then entertained us(6 of us) during a wonderful dinner. He made it very memorable

While our room was quite nice and the bathroom remodeled, the decor and bedding (mattress and coverlet) in our room and in the hotel in general need to be updated. Sleeping on a hard, old-feeling mattress was so uncomfortable that we barely slept a wink. The restaurant, while small, offered a nice selection of foods. The food quality was good.

Yes, we agree that this is a very good hotel. We were well received and shown into a spacious, comfortable and quiet room on the ground floor. Dinner was excellent, the staff attentive, and we enjoyed a good breakfast
