We have eaten here on a few occasions, the last being on Friday night 6th of March. The waiters are friendly and we both had pizza. Our orders were taken in good time and the food was excellent when it arrived. I feel the price of the food for the meal and service are outstanding . Keep it up

We are regular visitors to the Belmont and have always received great food and great service. The Italian food is impeccable and all the dishes are reasonably priced. We have 2 young children with food allergies and the staff always make sure their needs are catered for. I really struggle for a bad point.

Popped in last night for tea as we were passing. Never been in before, definitely will be back. Small, comfortable and cosy, and staff very friendly & helpful. Hubby had the Kinpurnie Venison Burger, I had lasagne with the home-made flat bread. Both dishes delicious. Reasonably priced too. Judging by the amount of people coming in, they obviously thought the... More

Just back from lunch where we had the king prawn dish. Essentially this was a starter dish - not a mains. At nearly £13 expected something more substantial than 6 prawns, 3 small potatoes and 3 cherry tomatoes in a rather greasy sauce. Disappointed that the manager quite clearly couldn't give a toss that we weren't happy. Waitress was sweet... More

visited the Belmont Arms for a spontaneous family Sunday tea. It's not too far from where we live so very handy. Quite unassuming from the outside, but a lovely traditional interior. Staff are extremely friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Quite simply the food is amazing. Authentic italian food dominates the menu, although there is quite a bit of variation. 3 of... More

I'd consider myself to be highly critical of most hotels and restaurants I've visited, and I'd class the Belmont Arms, situated between Meigle and Newtyle to be one of Scotland hidden gems. Run by an older Italian gentleman, there's always a great welcome and quite the most wonderful food. Really worth a visit - but don't tell too many people,... More

We went for a meal with the family, very nice, staff are pleasant, would highly recommend and visit again. Great choice of food not for the fussy eater as menu is quite fancy. Lovely back gardens, we enjoyed our visit here and our meal..

We went on a Saturday night . My girlfriend and I enjoyed our meals , I had burger and she had chicken with pancetta . The service was great and the food arrived quickly. The portion sizes were really good and we both enjoyed the whole experience . Our only recommendation was that the chicken seemed to have been boiled... More

Great menu with a definite feel of something different in terms of there being few "traditional" items on it. Pizzas and pasta were fabulous and the prawn dish served looked and tasted great. Really good service and the food was delicious and very well presented. A definite hit and now top of my venues to make a return to...soon I... More
