Hi, This is place is very strategically built in a valley overlooking awesome views. Sojha is a sleepy village with probably 5-6 shops. The population board depicts ~40. We went around Mar 30 last year while it was still snowing. En route to Jalori Pass, which is beautiful during winters with snow, this place would come, but one has to... More

This retreat is at a heightof 8000 feet. Which tells you about temperatures even in summer. Its tucked away on the mountainside, about 100 feet down from the bustling village of Shoja with a huge population of 35!!!! Go to this place to simply relax in lovely sunshine on the green lawn, falling asleep on the garden chair halfan hour after... More

The hotel is tucked away in the mountains. You climb down the steps to it from the really bustling overpopulated village of Shoja ( pop.35; yes, that is true !!!), and you come to this small place with lovely views all around. Temperature in summer was around Two degrees in the night. Place is at 8000 feet. The drive from... More

We booked our vacation with Banjara Camps through Hammock Holidays. Our agent suggested Sojha and Sangla camps when I asked for some "different experience in the mountains apart from the usual Shimla, Darjeeling kind of experience". We flew into Delhi on a Friday evening past midnight, stayed at a B&B close to the airport and started driving to Sojha in... More

During our India tour we stayed 2 days at this camp/hotel. We were the only guests. It is just great. Very good food, wonderful nature and a nice trek to the fort. We really felt at home. Since this was October it wa salready cold in the morning but with a heater the dining room and our room was made... More

My husband and I travelled to this Banjara property in Sojha for our first anniversary. Sojha is a tiny village just north of Jalori Pass. If you're a nature lover, trekker and a driving enthusiast, this place is for you. Getting there - the people at Banjara are very accurate when they tell you that a certain stretch will take... More

The Banjara Retreat in Sojha is not just another hotel, it's a home far away from your own place. I had the pleasure of staying and volunteering there for more than two months and it was a wonderful experience. The retreat is located in a remote area so be prepared for a real mountain experience. Being this close to nature... More

The Sojha property is lovely although it is set amidst other private lands too. So you can hear other families around unlike their Sangla property !! :) There are many steps to go down [ or climb up !! ] to reach the retreat so be aware. The staff at the retreat is courteous and good. We enjoyed our stay... More

As usual, banjara location was exotic....winding roads and cold winds - we finally reached banjara rettreat. Rooms are cozy and service standards are high as usual. Recommend checking in early in need to warm up the day to pick up a east facing room. It comes handy when the days are cold and you need to warm up before you... More
