Nice property and in proximity to national park. Good cottages and well maintained. Sleeping arrangements at roof also available. The best part is the naturalists that guide you well during your entire trip. We went for a trekking in Satpura national park and the content of knowledge delivered was excellent ranging from miniature creatures to big predators.Overall a great experience.... More

A remarkable experience: lots of wildlife, outstanding service, beautiful setting, unique cottage accommodation, delicately-spiced Indian food, and professional, knowledgeable, gracious and caring staff. Our adventure started with a 5:30 AM wake-up call; a cup of masala tea, if preferred, and a sweet; a dusty drive in an open jeep to Denwa River; transport by boat to the Satpura National Park.... Visit Forsyth for:- 1) Great naturalists like Payal & David who are by far the best we have encountered 2) Great food-they even arranged simple stuf for my 8 month old baby & good company 3) Satpura is a beautiful reserve - boat safari, jeep safari, elephant safari, nature walk within the reserve. 4) Great bird life P.S.- We travelled... We travelled to India in April 2014, taking in Satpura, Pench and Tadoba national parks. We chose Forsyth's lodge Satpura mainly because of its proximity to the park and their conservation ethos. We were not disappointed- this was our favourite safari experience of our entire trip to India. The park has the most varied wildlife, the naturalists, of whom we... More

As soon as we arrived at Forsyth Lodge we were the centre of attention. The expert lodge guides sat down with us with a welcoming drink to discuss what we had already seen on our India trip and what we were expecting to see at Forsyth. By the end of our four nights stay our expectations were all met. The... More

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Forsyth Lodge and Safaris in Satpura National Park. While our focus was on the wildlife and guided safaris, what added to our experience was the warm hospitality of the lodge manager and staff, and the focus on sustainability and supporting the local community... truly inspiring. Our lodge accommodation was spacious, clean... More

Forsyth Lodge is the place to go if you are looking for a comprehensive nature/forest experience. The lodge is idyllic, with lovely cottages spreading into the oncoming woods that surrounds it. Loved to know that it is completely built using eco-friendly material. Sit in the verandah of the cottage and some bird or animal will catch your eye. We saw... More

Satpura NP is definitely worth the visit. Although there are few tigers, there is plenty to see and experience in this beautiful landscape. We had a great time at Forsyth lodge, loved the food and the level of service provided by the staff was the best we ever had. The focus on sustainability was not something we knew of the... More

One of the most wonderful holidays of its type and we are very well travelled! The organization of the excellently guided safaris was beyond fault -- much interesting information about local habitats, animals, birds, plants etc. was very forthcoming --- even useful tips about digital photography to take full advantage of local conditions --- brilliant! Accommodation spacious and comfortable, meals excellent and... More

The hospitality and interaction from the Manager and guides was EXCELLENT. Nothing was too much trouble. We felt completely as ease and safe. The rooms were kept clean and fresh, laundry done, although not ironed. It was nice to sit all together at one table to eat, it made one feel part of a family. There was a variety of... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Forsyth's Satpura is a stylish and an environmentally friendly lodge that is engaged with the park management and the local community in a pioneering effort to create an unprecedented jungle experience in one of the most exciting tiger habitats in the world. This is an effort to create an exceptional wilderness experience for those who truly revel in wild places far from the jeep borne hordes that have defaced so many other parks. Here we provide you with an opportunity to explore the jungle on foot, by canoe's, on elephant back, jeeps and motorised boats. You can also experience the nocturnal creatures that the jungles offer by sitting in our machaan which is set in the 45 acres of wilderness around the lodge. We have been ranked 2nd in the recent survey by Conde Nast traveller in the top 30 eco destinations in India and have also been awarded for our outstanding performance by TOFT. ... more   less
