First the good points - attractive setting - excellent birdwatching to be had in the camp grounds. - Helpful and pleasant staff. - A very reasonable restaurant/canteen on site. - Good value for money - right next to the forest office to buy your entry permits But not so good:- - it's very remote and external communications are very difficult... Nameri eco camp is situated near Jia Bhoreli river in Assam, amid jungles teeming with different varieties of birds. The camp has an open space in the middle surrounded by tents. The tents are quite spacious and comfortable, have clean bathrooms with hot water. There is a small cozy lounge, another spacious side-open sitting area and a kitchen cum dining.... More

We drove up from Tezpur, early morning (about 90mins) to undertake a morning white-water rafting trip in zodiacs, organised by Nameri Eco Camp, down the Jai Bhareli. The trip along the river was not a perilous journey, but some of us did get a little wet, however, it was a beautiful day and the opportunity to be travelling along the... More

We stayed here for two nights in early Nov 2015 on our way from Guwahati to Arunachal. The camp is situated about 10 km north of Balipara with a dirt track leading off the main road for the last 2 km. There are no signs on the road leading to the camp. The camp comprises of a dozen two bed... More

We went there with friends and family to celebrate my Birthday, and must say one the finest adventures. The service is OK but the ambience is simply amazing, the food is homely and heavenly and the prices for everything is very decent. The bathrooms can be improved and since the road to the Camp is horribly bad, a little work... More

We stayed here on the 16th day of October, 2015 during our return journey from Bomdila. We stayed at a cottage where the windows can not be closed. Why there is no grill or mosquito net on the windows ? In the wooden floor, there are several spaces between two planks. Insects may entter the room easily. I think, the... More

We went there with prior booking. Stayed the first night and then went on to Bomdilla in Arunachal for the day. When we arrived in the evening, saw that our luggage has been shifted to another room, where our friends were staying!! They told us that some important member of their NGO wanted our room. Never had such a terrible... More
