We stayed two nights at the Sunderban tiger Camp. It was a unique experience as the mangrove forests are a unique ecosystem in itself. We took the 2N 3 D package offered and it was value for money. This includes accommodation, the river cruise, food, morning tea, evening tea, dinner and also pick up and drop from Kolkata. The rooms... More

Ever since I read Amitava Ghosh's ' The Hungry Tides' I've been wanting to visit the Sunderbans...this unique delta region formed by the confluence of two mighty rivers, the Ganga and the Brahmaputra, a UN World Heritage area now. The Sunderban Tiger Camp provides the perfect opportunity to visit this not so accessible place. The prices appeared steep when we... More

We stayed here on the 26th and 27th of December, 2014 in a AC Executive cottage. The property is indeed well managed- good cosy rooms, clean, good natural surroundings, and good food too. You are assisted on boat rides on consecutive mornings through the numerous creeks of the delta. But when it comes to getting under the skin of the... More

We were on a tour to Sunderban from 26th - 28th December 2014. We were already late for the booking but managed to get an accommodation in this resort. The resort is a part of Waxpol Resorts and mainly four types of accommodations:- Tent, Hut, Executive Cottage and A/C Executive Cottage. We were booked for the Tent accommodation. Firstly we... We thought the hotel was the best part of the Sunderbans experience! It is very well run, charmingly presented, the food was very good, there is a bar, evening entertainment (ethnic music and dance, wildlife films, etc) and helpful and keen staff. The rooms are comfortable; shower water is solar heated and so a little unreliable when overcast, although buckets... More

I stayed in Sunderban Tiger Camp in November 2014 with my friends and family. We had booked deluxe A.C cottages on one night two days package tour of Sundarbans, located in West Bengal, spanning an area over 10,000 sq km - both in India and Bangladesh - in the Ganges delta, largest mangrove forest in the world, home to the... Travel is often about the journey and not the destination. The journey is long. It took 3 hours of driving from Kolkata then 2 hours on the boat. The Sunderbans are unique. They are a series of islands. About half are inhabited. Some of the remaining islands have tourist accommodations. Some have limited access to locals for example a 2... More

Went there in December. We're asked to reach a pickup point early in morning in Kolkata. We were put in ac car and given packed breakfast. Midway in 3 hour drive through a very chaotic and heavy traffic had a toilet break and were offered hot and good tea. At ferrypoint were assisted with luggage. On one and a half... More

My husband and I spent three nights here and loved it. This is a well run operation. A bus collected us from Kolkata and the boat picked us up and we spent two days and two half days on the water. Our room was a/c and very spacious and comfortable. We were surrounded by wildlife and beautiful plants. The entire... More
