Sunderban is the land of tigers . We went there in a group of eighteen people from Kolkata. We booked a winger. Our journey started from chingrighata to Godkhali via winger. From Godkhali , we hired a beautiful, big boat. We boarded on the boat and started our journey towards Sajnekhali. The boat was large and two-floored. At the base... More

Beautiful little cottage with wonderful hand-painted local birds all over the interior walls. It nestled into a lovely garden, accessed by winding paths which led to the outside fire area and restaurant/bar. It SHOULD have been a peaceful haven but unfortunately our time was intruded upon by a religious festival in the nearby village which amplified music/singing/chanting at full volume... More

We travelled to Sunderbans from Kolkata by car, it takes about 2 hours. This was our first trip to India and to the excitement of driving there with all the obstacles on the road ie other vehicles, cows, bicycles, tuktuks, you name it, etc. On arrival at the village where we boarded the boat, we were met by the Tiger... We had booked a 3 days 2 nights package tour to the Sunderbans. All discussions with the resort owners Waxpol Hotels, was done over email and payments were transferred to them electronically. The entire trip plan was advised, we discussed the pros and cons of various types of accommodation considering we were 3 adults and two small kids, and the... More

We booked a 2 day 1 night stay in AC cottage at Sunderban Tiger Camp. We got delayed in reaching the camp and reached by 07:30 pm, however this delay was a bliss as the 3 hours journey on the river via launch was very serene and calm. The sun sets early in the east and by the time we... More

We booked the 2 day, 1 night stay in the Executive Cottage. The accommodations are really nice and we were delighted with how cute the cottage was! The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was very basic but everything was clean. The staff and service were great and it really feels like you are on a resort. The entertainment was... More

Sunderban Tiger Camp at Gosaba in Sunderbans is an excellent place for a relaxing weekend holiday with your family and friends. Good part of this holiday is that along with the package you get a complimentary pick-up and drop from and to Kolkata on a well maintained AC coach and thereafter on a boat so that you don't have to... I stayed there wef 23.10.2013 to 25.10.2013. Wonderful to say the list. Animal sighting was excellent. I can post photographs to interested people. The amenities provided were a bit on the lower side but it was more than made up by the location being close to the Real Sundarban. The resort did give a real feel of the Sundarban.
