Clean, friendly & beautiful castle compound. The owners arranged pickup from the dock arriving from Turkey. We made our own arrangements and they were very accommodating. The bus service was charming as we navigated across the island to the shore.

We chose Medieval Suites as we really wanted to stay in one of the villages of Chios in an authentic environment. Mesta is a very nice well-preserved village with a city center full of locals and nice bars and restos on the narrow streets. Going there end of September, the temperature was great and there were very few tourists. At... More

The most expensive of the hotels we stayed in during our holiday and by far the most uncomfortable. The most serious problem was the lack of heating - in January - making the temperature inside the same as outside (around 7C) but there were plenty of other things wrong as well. This hotel is in a beautiful medieval village and... More

The town of Mesta is so charming its insane. Tiny alleyways organised in a labyrinth of tiny streets clustered around the central square, where you can eat spendid simple flavourful traditional greek food while taking in the everday rhythms and life of the town. The suite (#102) was charming, all stone with a vaulted ceiling with small windows punche in... More

Having made several short trips to Chios over the years and staying in Chios town, we decided to spend a night in Mesta this year. We really like the town, and very much enjoyed our stay. From the beginning, Mary met us at the entrance of the town, helped us find parking, and walked us back to the office. We... More

I am fascinated by this hotel. Mesta is a fairy tale! To be part of this story, I recommend Hotel Medieval Castle. In other words - if you want to feel like a prince or princess, you need castle, i.e. Medieval Castle.

It was the third time that we chose to stay in Medieval Castle in Mesta, during our stay in Chios. We stayed in room 102, which was the best suite from the apartments that we had stayed so far in this hotel. From the point of our arrival, we were greeted by Adam, the owner of the hotel at the reception... More

Chose to travel to Chios and this hotel after recommendation from a friend. We stayed at the honeymoon suite with my wife. The village of Mesta is built within a castle. The interior of the village is completely inaccessible to cars and motorcycles, a welcome relief from the usual noise of the city. The whole village has kept its traditional... More

We had booked to stay at the Medieval Castle Suites for two weeks including breakfast which was to be provided outside the village walls! This sounded strange but actually just meant the restaurant two minutes walk away. The suites are scattered around the village and are converted stone houses with some original features and are very clean and functional. The... More

Mesta- what a wonderful place - an amazing Mid-evil Village and the suites to be had are unlike anything I've seen elsewhere. Anyone that Complains about these suites (They are very unique) had different expectations and is probably used to different accommodations. This isn't a traditional hotel - It is a bunch of unique individual homes spread throughout the village... More
