Wow, wow, wow! From the moment we arrived and Nat welcomed us back after a very efficient transfer arranged through the Mangrove from the Cambodian/Thai border, we were again in our own little world of relaxing bliss (much needed after 5 nights in Siem Reap) and stayed from the 30th December for a 9 nights. I am almost reluctant to... More

Me and my girlfriend were looking for a place to relax after our 4-week backpacking trip. Although this resort is more expensive than we would normally book, it was worth every penny! This place offered everything that we were looking for. Note that the resort is not located near the beach (the nearest beach, Wai Chaek beach, a very secluded... More

We've travelled all over Asia and this is one of the nicest places we have ever stayed at both in terms of accommodation and location. It was the perfect place to unwind after a long flight and a couple of days in Bangkok.

We stayed with a group of 4 at the Mangrove Hideaway and were thoroughly impressed by how beautiful the place is. Hidden inside a fishing village it boasts pretty surroundings and a place to relax, enjoy great food and massages. The rooms are impeccable and the staff very friendly. Luc and Olivier have been wonderful especially when Olivier checked in... More

We spent one week in Mangrove Hideaway in december 2013 - and came back in december 2014. For us it's definitely the best place in Thailand as to friendlyness of the management (huge THANKS to Olivier, Jean Luc, Nat and the friendly ladies working there!), quality of food, maintainance of the house and garden area and value for money. We... More

After two flights and a ferry over 12 hours, we arrived very tired and late at night. Worryingly we couldn't remember where we were staying other than knowing the address. Upon arrival, we were absolutely over the moon with this boutique. The layout, cleanliness and decor of the entire place is absolutely immaculate! We were able to use the roof... More

I'm not usually one to write a review, but I think everyone should know how wonderfully tranquil and accommodating this place is. We, unfortunately, are only able to stay one night here because of plans arranged prior to arriving, but I must say this place has been the best hotel experience we've had in our three weeks in Asia. While... More

We travelled to Thailand the first time in October 2014 abd stayed in the hotel for one week, though initially we booked only 4 days. It's a place for those seeking a relaxing atmosphere away from masses of tourists, noise, and hassle. Massage and relaxing attic coupled with impeccable service will make you forget all your problems and re-vitalize your... More

Most warm welcome by Olivier at arrival. Far from the touristic westcoast, but most authentic Koh Chang we have experienced! We had a lovely stay in this personal, clean and warm lodge with a good French-Thai kitchen. We did a wide variety of possible activities, from kayak in the mangrove, visiting deserted beaches by scooter, private boattour by captain Jean-Luc,... More

If you are looking for bright lights and noisy bars aimed at tourists then a stay at the Mangrove isn't for you. If what you're after is peace, tranquility and a taste of real Island life then the Mangrove is the perfect holiday destination. Olivier, Jean Luc and their wonderful staff have achieved perfection. The location, food, service, cleanliness and... More
