Food excellent. Very fresh and nice portions. The starters were a little more pricey but large portions which was fine. The service was very attentive and welcoming. Was a lovely cosy atmosphere. We will be coming back and thank you for a lovely evening.

Very friendly staff. Menus scruffy - I did not want to eat there at all but was with a crowd so chose small meal. I contacted environmental health as after eating scampi, chips & peas I was very sick when I woke up the next morning and did not drink as I was driving. My friend was ill to, she... More

The food was good.....BUT - you are given a steak knife and fork to eat all meals, whilst it is excellent for steak it's difficult to cut and eat varies other meals. We were given no options. The dinner we had was good but the actual service from some of the waitresses was not very professional, we felt uncomfortable asking... More

Very appealing from the outside, but inside you're crammed in like sardines, dirty tables, dirty toilets & very expensive food. The outside play area would be lovely if it wasn't all falling apart. Wouldn't recommend & certainly won't return.

Warm welcome at the Jolly Farmer by owner and staff. Though accommodation is 'semi-ensuite', the rooms are warm and beds comfy. Excellent breakfast served up, and food served is very good. Well worth a stop over.

We had a nice meal but the accomidation was awful, paint peeling off the walls, not been cleaned properly, mouldy teabag found in the Tea pot. Broken window taped up, wallpaper falling off the wall. Cobwebs and spiders everywhere. Stain on bedding, In fact it was so bad we reported them to the environmental health. We stayed in room 4,... More

A lovely looking pub from the outside with hanging baskets plants and all manner of greenage adorning the walls. On a rainy Friday night and after a look at the menu decided on the chicken breast with peppercorn sauce. Food was fine but nothing out of the ordinary for the £15.50 price tag. My friends both had gammon which again... More

One of those pubs that looks fantastic, a very impressive display of hanging baskets. Inside, it is cosy/cluttered with lots of stuff to look at, ranging from shotguns to baseball caps. We ate here and the food was good, but on the pricey side. The crab and prawn salad I had as a starter was £7.95 so I was hoping... More

My son and I stayed for one night and had a terrible night's sleep due to an overheated room, noise (to be expected from a pub billet I guess) and quality of the beds & pillows. Overpriced considering we didn't have our own bathroom and had to share a bathroom with other guests. On the other hand, staff couldn't have... More
