Just returned from this hotel - after reading the reviews (mainly all bad) we were pleasantly surprised as we don't know what hotel other reviewers were staying in!! Nice room, staff pleasant and friendly BUT very noisy particularly on Vilamoura/Reception side. Plenty of golfers who liked to drink a lot and became very noisy late evening/early morning - or throughout the night at weekends. Drinks are very expensive in bar compared to local area. So avoid staying on the reception side of the hotel.

Have mixed views about this hotel.. Found the staff very professional and pleasant throughout. We upgraded (at acost) to room with a full sea view. The room was lovely. Bathroom fantastic! Recently returned from 5 days in this hotel and was very diappointed.Def not 5* and not value for money. We checked in and were showen 3 different rooms incase we wanted to upgrade at very expensive rates. Great rooms, good pool and gardens, easy access to the beach. Drinks are expensive and the restaurant breakfast is good but go into town and explore for dinner. Staff are friendly and helpful. Loved the spa.

Really cool beach theme runs throughout hotel. It's nice. Drinks at bar expensive! Drink out! Don't bother with hotel restaurant. A bit bland and loads of other places to explore. Pool area lovely.
