The Rorbuer is nice, and in a good position in Svolvaer. When we entered, everything was clean, and big enough for 4 people. A little expensive, as every other place in Norway. The restaurant was also pretty good, we spen there the new year's eve, and the food was amazing.

Nice place, everything ok, with internet free, view to the sea, is a excellent experience to live in a RORBU, is the obligatory experience if you visit Lofoten. But for us we think at is better in summer. Little far away to the centrum. Breakfast don't included.

Svinøya Rorbuer is by far my favorite place to visit whilst visiting Lofoten and Svolvær! With a big variety of lodging, from old traditional fisherman's cabins to giant, luxurious rorbu suites, Svinøya Rorbuer has it all. I for myself enjoy the rorbu suites located beautifully on the waterside with a view towards the city center and harbour. Well equipped kitchen,... More

Here you can live in modern or more autentic old cabins as the fishermen did. They have a well reputated restaurant with traditonal norwegian food. Svinøya Rorbuer is by the sea with nice view. You can see the old shop the firshermen used. A charming bar next to the restaurant.

Two ensuite bedrooms with twin beds in number 24. Warm, quite spacious, comfy with a nice little kitchen area ( cooked in one night and ate in the restaurant the other night). Restaurant staff were very helpful when it came to feeding our fussy eater son! We had a lovely time and wouldn't hesitate to go back. Great location for... More

Cabin 23 is the last one, with a great view of the sea and cliffs. Decent facilities, and interesting walking around the island. The town also has some interesting sights, so take a look. We had 2 nights here, and glad we did.

We stayed in No. 7. I don't recall having an awful time locating the place which is better than a lot of them. Here's the bottom line: Pros: Better than most with the general outfitting of the interior: TV, microwave, clean, well stocked kitchen, fabulous water pressure. In fact, be careful if you take the handle out of the holder!... More

Me and my partner stayed there two nights a few weeks ago. We were visiting my famliy in sweden and decided to go to lofoten for some hiking. Unfortunately it was raining :( we stayed in the original rorbruer and it was so nice! Only thing missing was a hairdryer. Its not a flashy place but it's got a lot... More

My wife and I booked to stay in one of the Rorbuers for several nights as part of our honeymoon and were allocated Rorbuer 19. Unfortunately this may be the worst one available as it is of poor quality and is not located on the shoreline or has views of the harbor. For example the curtains in the bedroom didn't... More

Stayed for one night with family. Two bedroomed Rorbuer, and both bedrooms we're en-suite which was great. The setting is lovely, beside the water, with picnic table outside, to relax and take in the quiet reflections across the water. Didn't cook in, as only staying for one night, but the kitchen seemed well equipped, with nice dining table, again overlooking... More
